The room overlooked the ocean and the beach was a 50 yd walk to the beach. Rob was an excellent host and very knowlegeable of the area. Breakfast was wonderful.

Just the best spot, an amazing room and so close to the beach - was such fun in the waves! Lovely breakfast too. And Rob is a brilliant host! We’ll be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waters. It is a lovely property and the family/owners are wonderful. Rob is a wealth of knowledge about the area and New Zealand. He was able to book an activity for us after hours for the next day which was amazing. He also offered a charcuterie board and wine dinner to end our busy day! We would definitely return here and highly recommend to others!

Fabulous managers. Incredible spot with ocean and pond type views. First rate breakfast provided daily in your own refrigerator. Not a lot of rooms so the place has a very private feel. I loved everything about it.

Very friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Abundant breakfast, gorgeous views over the Tasman Bay and a very comfortable sleep. Would definitely book here again.

I didn’t want to leave! This place is a hidden gem and one K.D. the best places I’ve ever stayed. The room was everything I could have needed with an incredibly comfortable bed. The breakfast was great and so convenient to have it in your room the night before so you could eat whenever worked for you the next day. And the views...they can’t be beat. The sunrise over the ocean is just outside your door and the haze from the sunset over the mountains in the distance at your back door. Such a beautiful and relaxing space and the woman who runs it is a great wealth of knowledge about the area. I will be back....and hoping sooner than later.

Beautifully set on the coast in a quiet location. Fantastic room design. Could be ideal, but: came Into a room that smelled from smoke (turn to be burning wood in the area), The place would greatly benefit from a-heating (the heating system blows air directly at the head of the bad but is not sufficient to hold the temperature); b-clean new towels; bathroom rugs, (the floor was freezing). The lady owner was extremely helpful and nice.

This place is fantastic! Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved everything about it - the location, the design of the space, and the delicious breakfast.

We wanted somewhere we could totally relax at, this was the perfect spot. Claire was a wonderful host, helpful and friendly. We can certainly recommend "The Waters" to anyone planning a holiday in this area- superb!

A perfect location for a secluded getaway. Walk on the beach to a nearby vinyard or take a short drive to begin your walk on the Able Tasman trail.

The views are fabulous and the breakfast provided was delicious! The owner was really friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
