It fit the bill for what we needed for the week. It was nice to have the kitchenette for heating up leftovers and such. Breakfast was fairly descent, although the yogurt machine was broken. Pool and gym were great. Had to request TP and clean towels and yes, the showers do have some “gasp” mold in them as other reviews have stated…could be remedied by changing the caulk to one that’s mold and mildew resistant. It’s in a central location and the desk people were all super nice. We’d definitely stay here again.

Once in our room, we noticed some crumbs of food all over the floor. Some shredded cheese and Fritos to be exact. A Plato's Closet receipt that was on the floor. In the bathroom, when we put the toilet seat down, there was a combination of yellow dried up pee and hair. I used Lysol wipes I had brought to start cleaning it then got grossed out and annoyed that I had to do that. In the shower, there was hair (which wasn't mine) in the shower, along with a used washcloth that was hanging behind the sliding door. Ice cream was left in the freezer. Just very gross! I called and asked if the room had been cleaned prior to us arriving. They said it was. I told them what I saw. They said they would have housekeeping come up before they left for the day. We waited about 25-30 minutes but no one came. We left to go to dinner and never heard anything else. We paid $315 for one night. I was expecting cleanliness at the least. We have stayed there before and had a great experience. Not this time. I was disgusted.

After checking in at the front desk, I went to my room to get ready for my son's arrival from Splash Lagoon. I was secretly decorating the room to surprise him. I then heard a knock at the door asking to take back the hotel roller I used to bring my luggage up. It was an older man with glasses. At first I thought the offer was nice then he asked if I was having a party, I assume due to seeing light decorations and a piñata. Excitingly, I replied that it's my son's birthday and began openly sharing that his dad is in town and he hasn't seen him in over a year. He made a comment regarding that he hopes I'm not inviting the neighborhood out to the hotel and pool with a very distraught look on his face. I kindly informed him that I felt offended and that he didn't have to worry about that with me. I am sure this happens often at any hotel, however please don't stereotype or assume this with all guest. I purchased a room fit for 6 guests and that indeed was all it was. All 4 kids were supervised by an adult at all times, although this is sometimes not always the case but my former expertise as a child protective investigator ensures it is for me. The kids were on their best behavior and complimented by other guests, the piñata was done outside of the hotel, and the decorations were removed before check out. I traveled from Johnstown and had a great experience in Erie however this hotel gave a rather offensive impression with staff.

Checked into room only to find that room was not latched shut when we first got to it. Once we went inside, we noticed “brown” fragments in the toilet, dirty wash rags hanging and filthy surfaces all over the room. A full wrapped sub sandwich at room temperature was sitting in a bag on the end table. It looked as if someone was staying in there already. We went to the front desk to ask for a new room only for them to say that they were fully booked and couldn’t do anything to help us since we booked through Expedia. Unfortunately it was too late for us to cancel and find other accommodations since we were from out of state and had 2 small children with us as well. The solution the clerk gave us was a spray bottle and new towels/ sheets so me and my wife could clean the room ourselves… Contacted Expedia and they said they would call the Manager the next day to see about getting us some compensation/ discount but ultimately weren’t able to get us anything back from the Manager for our troubles. Expedia Offered us One Key cash as a consolation prize. Will never stay at a Home 2 Suites or a Hilton owned property ever again. Probably won’t use Expedia/ 3rd party anymore since it appears they are powerless in helping out much when things go wrong. (Except offer you their own app cash/points for a future booking!) I usually don’t write bad reviews for a place/ business due to a questionable experience as I normally just shrug it off… but this was ridiculous.

I didn’t like that we had to wait for a room to be cleaned before we could check in. I had 6 children with me and it was very inconvenient. There weren’t any carts to assist with bringing up all our belongings and no other assistance or accommodations were offered. I was told, “if there’s no carts, then they are being used. Our room was sweltering hot and it took some time to get it cooled down to a comfortable temperature. The pool was decent, but there were only 4 towels that we had to share amongst the 7 of us. There was no breakfast available the first morning of our stay (even though it was included) and I was told “our food truck never came”. So I had to go out and spend additional money to buy breakfast for us. I probably won’t be booking at Home 2 suites again in the future.

The hotel looked inviting immediately when I entered the front entrance. Desk staff was pleasant. Room was spacious and updated, even had large size dishwasher, microwave and fridge. The second floor hallway rug had stains in front every room. Our bathroom Toilet seat was peeling and our full size shower grout was black with what may have been mold.

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) Needs Better Housekeeping and Soundproofing I stayed for one night. The location is very convenient, and the staff were welcoming. However, there were a couple of things that impacted my comfort. When I arrived, I was told housekeeping was still in my room, so I expected it to be spotless, but the bathroom had some visible stains and a slight odor. Also, late-night hallway noise was clearly audible from my room, which affected my sleep. Overall, an okay stay with room for improvement.

Manger wanted to charge Expedia guests? Employees was nice and did not as I had my toddler and no time to call Expedia from front desk after a long drive. If a hotel has a problem with Expedia- that's between Expedia and hotel - NOT The guest. Lady at the desk very nice

For the most part my family and I were happy with the hotel except for the cleaning service that was supposed to be done during our stay our room should have been cleaned twice and they only came once and all they did was give us towels nothing else that was suppose to be done was very embarrassing having to go ask the front desk for toilet paper. And they need more then one waffle maker and a better variety of breakfast food our food lady wasn't pleasant never smiled always slamming stuff down. But it was a holiday weekend so hopefully if we stay there again we will have a better experience.

The hotel was extremely short staffed. Our room was not fully clean or stocked on arrival-no towels or linen for the pull out and dirty dishes in the dishwasher and kitchen drawer. Room was supposed to be serviced every other day and never was so once again no towels. Each time something was missing we had to go down to the desk from the fourth floor to get towels. They ran out of regular towels the third day of our stay and we were given pool towels and not enough for the family of four.
