The hotel is a bit tired in places. The staff were excellent. The room booked was classed as Delux. I thought it was spacious and bright. But it had shower curtain over a bath. Which in this day an age is not 5 star. There were not enough electric sockets for phone charging. The kettle tray was on the suitcase stand. The room had a connecting door. Which meant we could hear the people next door coughing, blowing his nose and asking if he could drink the water and this was all before 7.30am. Not my idea of Delux! We came back to the hotel for a quiet drink to find it shuts at 11pm! Not ideal and no where else to get a drink and no one mentioned this to us. We were only there one night as a pre birthday surprise for my nephew. Who was here for a few days. Breakfast was good and again the staff were very helpful.

Fantastic room at a great price. Pool was lovely. Kitchen had all amenities needed. The cleaner did unfortunately break our charger behind the bed so be aware of leaving it plugged in.

Even better when warmer.The weather was warm for a few days but not enough to enter the pool

It was a family friendly hotel, that was more than adequate for our stay. Room size was larger than expected. Food was best at the hotel's buffet, other dining options were not worth the time for us. Not enough loungers and people were "reserving" them every day. Outdoor pool was freezing. Evening entertainment was just okay. Area was a bit remote but walkable to beach and nightlife.

Unfortunately we found the beds uncomfortable and didnt sleep well.

We had an adequate stay at this hotel. It is definitely not luxurious and I wouldn't class it 5 stars. A low 4 stars at best, but as long as you don't expect luxury staying there, it's fine. Reasons for this review: The hotel is clearly quite dated and the rooms aren't in 100% condition. EG our apartment had quite a bit of mould in the corner of the living room and bedroom walls. The curtains were very dated and the couch was very, very worn. We did all inclusive, which gives you access to all the food across the properties in Algarve. The main hotel restaurant had an ok selection but not amazing. It was pretty clear that the staff at the restaurant did their best but they were not staffed adequately because every meal time the tables were not adequately re-set in a timely manner after diners left. Likewise the food was not replenished fast enough and often many dishes were missing for a long time before being replenished. We visited a number of the different restaurants and only the aqua restaurant had a kids menu, which made it challenging with kids as not all the staff were very accommodating about making adaptations for the kids. The alcohol selection for all inclusive wasn't great. Very basic and dated cocktails and the quality of the beer and wine honestly was not good. The pool entertainment was pretty basic. Overall this place was ok but as you can see from above it certainly wasn't luxurious.

Very nice hotel. Clean, spacious and also very quiet, which was good. The location was also good - walk distance to beach, old town and the stripe. The meal (breakfast and dinner) was average. One thing not very happy was for arrange a taxi to Faro airport - was told by the front desk staff that they could arrange taxi with fixed price of 50euro but actually the driver charged by meter for 56euro saying never be fixed

Hotel was very nice could use a bit of updating ie Rooms but very clean. Bar area not big enough for the size of hotel so didn’t use it as much. Food was plentiful and amazing would say 5* but a good 4

Pff it’s not a 5 star hotel, the best une 3 star. Everything is old

The Hotel staff was very accomodating Their Shampoo dispenser was poor. The TV channels were very limited and several channels didn't work. There was no oven, but had a microwave. There is washing machine which was very nice. There was a lot of entertainment around the pool. Good restaurants walking distance.

A nice stay in this hotel, which was a good base to explore Albufeira and around. The property is a little bit tired, but the rooms were spacious, the beds were comfortable, the spa was functional (though closing at 6pm is a bit early) and the staff were friendly, particularly Cristiano at reception who gave us excellent local recommendations throughout our stay and was always a friendly face.

Hotel and rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable.We went all inclusive and the food was good with plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly especially Andreia and Miguel. We would definately stay there again in the future if holidaying in Albufeira

A great week in the Forte do Vale hotel. Loved the hotel and facilities, a great variety of food options (and plenty of veggie options). Good location for the beach, local park and really enjoyed being able to use the sister hotel's facilities as well. Would recommend.

Nice hotel, very spacious rooms. Went out of season so just 1 restaurant in hotel which was nice, other restaurants advertised were elsewhere in town. We tried the Chinese which we'd suggest you avoid.

Really nice hotel in a quiet location, walkable to the Old Town, the beach and the Strip. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable, air-conditioning was welcome, shower was decent. Restaurant had a good range of dining options and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Loved the pool with its lunchtime barbecue and bar. We will return again next year!
