The staff were very helpful and let me store my pole vault pole, which is over 4m long, in the basement free of charge for the duration of my stay, which was very helpful. The hotel is only a short walk from Fistral Beach and convenient for the town centre. My single room was a good size with large window overlooking the sea.

Very good hotel,the staff are all very friendly and helpful.Very comfortable beds in spacious room with a big bathroom, roll top bath and separate double shower! Good breakfast, excellent Sunday lunch!! You can see the new owners are still renovating.We could not get the room cool during this hot weather,2 fans and still 29,30 degrees! We appreciated the bottles of water left in the room each day! The only negative thing was the car park!very tight parking spaces,you could see where cars could not get into spaces properly,I believe they are looking into changing the car park,the sooner the better! Would definitely recommend!

This is the 2nd year running staying in the atlantic hotel, the staff were excellent and very helpful, breakfast was good, hotel is in a perfect location, brilliant sized room with stunning view, room cleaned regularly and kept to a high standard.

The room we stayed in looked very tired and needed some TLC. The 1st time we stayed the room was lovely separate shower and roll top bath in the en-suite. The bed & bedside cabinets could have done with being moved as the skirting boards and the carpet up to them was in need of a good dust and clean.

While very comfortable, the bed especially, and basically clean and useable, the cliff top room was not scrupulously clean, heavily dusty in places, had broken curtain and blind that were then not properly fixed when raised, the lit magnifying mirror in the bathroom didn’t work and had thick dust on the back, the heated towel rail didn’t and again the lower rungs not wiped clean of dust and rust. One bath robe for the two of us, which we didn’t mind or raise as we don’t use them, no towels on arrival, which were brought upon asking, or hand soap in the bathroom. The ironing board was not there which the porter said he would get but didn’t, again we didn’t raise it as we didn’t have a need. The main hotel looked very plush, the hot breakfast buffet was okay, staff very good and helpful. View from the room was great, looked out at the sea over a disused, covered pool area. Dinner on the first evening was again okay, staff again helpful, but we didn’t think we must do that again and ate elsewhere for the remainder of our stay. Overall a little underwhelming for expectations and price. Would we go again, possibly but would expect the issues to have been addressed as we did say the the housekeeping manager should take a look and see if that room met the hotel standards.

The room was presentable, there was quite a lot of mould on the windows, and seagull droppings all over the windows. The breakfast was good and the staff was presentable and professional. The hotel could probably do with an update, the hotel is on a beautiful location close to fistral beach and a short walk to the town centre

I happened to be there during the hottest temp on record in May and there wasn’t air conditioning. They did have a fan I could use, but I still had to sleep naked to be cool enough to sleep. I know this wasn’t normal temperatures for them so past that I would stay again.

The view from my balcony room was amazing and the room in a very good condition. The hotel itself is dated. They could do with modernising the space and also their food menu.

I had a great view of the Atlantic ocean, enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The breakfast was great - would visit again.

It was a highly positive experience, and I would readily recommend it to anyone residing in the vicinity.

Undergoing a refurbishment but its an absolutely gorgeous hotel. Some money being poured into it though. Lovely rooms and public areas and the breakfast was brilliant. Staff all very friendly and professional. Will definitely return.

I had a really disappointing stay at The Atlantic Hotel in Newquay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were rude and unhelpful, and there were hardly any people around to assist when needed. Parking was a nightmare — the spaces were far too small, especially for larger cars, making it stressful just to park. The room itself was in a terrible condition: unclean, with visible watermarks, poor-quality bedding, and outdated single-glazed windows that did little to keep out noise or cold. Dinner was equally frustrating. The menu was inexplicably set with very limited choice, and there were no vegetarian options available, which is unacceptable. On top of that, it was overpriced for what was offered. Breakfast was one of the worst parts of the stay. Service was extremely slow, with only one staff member working and very limited food options. We waited over 40 minutes for something as simple as poached eggs and avocado on toast. The hotel wasn’t even busy, yet everyone in the breakfast area seemed to be experiencing the same poor service. Overall, a very disappointing experience and certainly not worth the money.
