The room was fine, minimal amenities, (soap). Staff were courteous. The AC worked fine but the fan made a lot of noise. There were no lights on the 3rd floor, we did find our room. In the morning we discovered a light switch. There was NO hot water, at all. Made me wonder if they were following the Mexican "motel" model - LOL The restaurant advertised was closed like permanent!

El servicio estuvo excelente. El personal del hotel muy amable y atento a nuestras necesidades. La señora de la cosina muy amable y nos gustó el desayuno, tascalate mi preferido! Recomiendo este lugar que esta a 2-3 cuadras del parque de la marimba. Diversos restaurantes y cafecito en la noche.

No me gustó el hotel, la habitación estaba en malas condiciones. En la habitación faltaban: una manta; vasos; la plancha estaba sucia, imposible de usar; no proporcionaron zapatillas. Cerca de la cama, justo detrás de la ventana, hay aires acondicionados que son muy ruidosos, por lo que es imposible dormir. La habitación era húmeda y fría, no había dónde secar la ropa, no había alfombras en la habitación ni en el baño. Muy incómodo. El precio del alojamiento era excesivo. Entre los aspectos positivos destacamos el personal amable, el delicioso desayuno, la cómoda ubicación cerca del parque Marimba y el agradable paseo marítimo a lo largo del río.

A solid three star hotel experience, walkable to Marimba Plaza, which is very active and fun at night. Short cab ride to the ADO bus terminal. Tuxtla centro is not a tourist area. People are friendly enough, but the town is loud, dirty and smoggy. Hotel Madrid is a solid oasis, and with the a/c on, even the traffic sounds are drowned out.

Hot water with strong pressure. Very important for most travelers.

Great place to stay with an accessible price, very close to the Marimba Park, the hotel is very quiet and clean, breakfast is not included so keep in mind.
