Clean room

Nous avons apprécié la propreté et le style des lieux. Le personnel à l’accueil est toujours courtois et aidant. Nous étions à proximité du centre ville, des musées et des restaurants. Merci !

Very convenient location. Walkable to different places. However there are the unavoidable noise from street. They finally calm after 10-11pm but people already start working (motorists) at 6am. Neat small place.

The room didn’t not even have soap, it was ok, staff didn’t seem too friendly or impressed we were there, room was clean but just very outdated

Hotel was at best ok. Rooms were so stuffy and hot. Internet slow, breakfast was alright. No elevators so have to drag if you have heavy luggage. You have to pay for parking but needed to remind front desk it was part of our itinerary. Staff were all very helpful and sweet. The location is very central to everything we wanted to visit, which is why we picked it.

Solid 3 stars. Hotel is in a good and central location. There was heavy construction going on starting very early in the morning, I woke up to sounds of drilling on the wall next to my bed. Nothing fancy, just a decent hotel to get some rest before making it out to other parts of CR.

Pool looked a bit dirty, hotel seemed tired and past its prime. Central location though

This is a good solid little hotel in Downtown San Jose. The room is quite acceptable although the heat was necessary but we couldn't get it to come on. The window in the bathroom sitting in the frame is a jar with the outdoor light visible through the gap. The beds were acceptable the shower had good pressure and nice hot water the room was clean enough the grounds are well kept. The front desk clerk was very charming and animated when we arrived although I would comment that the two young ladies that were the waitress staff in the dining room both seemed to want to be anywhere but there and we're polite enough but we're quite aloof and distant. The food in the morning for the breakfast was fine and the little cinnamon pancakes were quite delicious. In Costa Rica I would caution any North American Travelers to make it clear when you order an appetizer you would like that first and then the main part of the meal afterwards because we have seen pretty consistently they will serve all of the food at the same time. Once again I would recommend this hotel it was cheap and cheerful as they say good location easy walk to all of the main sites of the downtown core of San Jose

Lovely hotel with great staff.

Very clean hotel/room. Free breakfast that consisted of: gallo pinto (yummy), fried banana (sooo good), scambled/boiled eggs, sausages, fruit, cereal, bread, yogurt etc. It was all very yummy. Everyone was very hospitable! Would return.

This Hotel has a parking área close by. In front of this hôtel, they have an excellent Argentine restaurant. It lack an elevator so if you have leg issues ask in advance for a first floor room. The personnel is excellent and helpful.

El área donde se encuentra este hotel es un área donde hay mucho deambulante , me sentí un poco insegura en el área más que viajaba con mis hijos. Las paredes del cuarto se encontraban en mal estado y las camas ya están de cambiar. Había mucho olor a humedad en el cuarto. Entiendo el concepto vintage a la estructura pero deberían mejorar las condiciones de la habitación. El trato del personal fue amable.

Clean and comfortable

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown San Jose. Parking was easy enough in a secure lot around the corner. Breakfast was a highlight, with an array of fresh fruits, gallo pinto, and scrambled eggs. Our room (35) had an exceedingly small bathroom and had windows facing the street, though noise was not bad. Our television did not work, but the bed was comfortable enough.

Very nice. Small and personable. Staff very nice. Good location to walk to museums.
