The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away.

Great place to stay. Out the way and very quiet. Would recommdnd to anyone.

Great hotel, evening meal and breakfast very reasonably priced with good basic fair and choice.

Booked this hotel because after a long car journey we wanted somewhere that had a restaurant. Got there and was then told restaurant was closed. Not good enough

The hotel was clean and tidy, the rooms are comfortable, although this is a large hotel it was very peaceful even at meal times. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would fully recommend. Excellent value for money. We hope to visit again soon.

We have cancelled the hotel before Dec 10, 2017 but my money was still deducted from my account. Hope to get refund soon.

What a great quiet place to stay, away from everything, beautiful, peaceful and nice. Rooms were small but we only needed the room for sleeping so it was not a problem. Showers were great, place was clean. Loved the local surrounding area!

Great location, but let down by the internal fittings. The shower in our room was lethal with one of our group slipping in the shower causing injury.

Came to Chamonix to ski at Mont Blanc and stayed at le Fontenay. Had a lovely stay but visitors should be warned that the hotel is at the top of a mountain, with steep winding roads (often without guardrails) in a region that gets heavy snow all the time. Visitors should not attempt to go without good snow tires and chains.

To be honest i expected less for a 2 star hotel but we found a family friendly hotel with great staff , clean rooms, very large parking,daily cooked food at reasonable prices the only issue i had was the shower cabin 600x600 that was to small for me, the hotel is located 3 min drive from the ski slopes at Plaine Joux and less then 30 min drive from St Gervais and Chamonix ski resorts and beautiful town of Megeve.

Looks like a prison, feeds you well very cheaply and the staff were very welcoming and attentive.

Room was pretty small but functional. It didn't cost us a fortune to stay within 10 kms from Chamonix, where the similar accommodation would be 5 times more expensive. Both our GPS had problem locating the place using the address but gave good directions if chosen from POI list. You need a car to get there. Great view of the valley if the weather is clear. Accommodation very basic but everything worked well. The only negative thing I can mention - dirty floor in the room, the soles became black momentarily.

Clean, quiet and pleasing. Friendly staff, very good food. Bunk beds for kids with TV in room. Fridge, stove and cutlery available. Outdoor parking. Nice area but you need a car.

Stayed quick overnight after hiking Mont Blanc Quite out of the way but good price compared for everything else

The hotel has tennis courts, swimming pool, sauna, and many kids activities. Great place for family vacation.

We stayed here because it is very near to hospital were our brother is, and has cooking facilities so we can cook for him .

Hotel itself is a bit old fashioned and in need of some modernisation, but as a place to stay for a few nights has a nice quiet location with wonderful mountain views. Service of the staff was fantastic. Rooms are fairly basic but do the job and I don't think you can expect much more for the price

Good, quiet, relaxing. Not so close to ski resorts but acceptable.

No frills hotel near Passy. Nice views.
