The property has no air conditioning! Yes if we cranked a window would be perfect but the window had no protection from any wild life! No net nothing

Some milk in the room fridge would be a nice touch as there is a dairy nearby but this was a great stay. Lovely place

Our stay was for a week so we had plenty of time to settle in. The rooms are large and comfortable. The showers are awesome with plenty of hot water. The breakfast was exceptional. And the restaurant was always delicious! The staff at every location and position from front desk, restaurant, service, cleaning were all outstanding! I woul say that suggestion we have to improve would be to add ceiling fans in the rooms and add additional tables and chairs to the balcony overlook for the bar. Plenty of room to double the seating capacity. Every day the 3 or 4 tables filled and others were left without a place to sit for drinks and sunset viewing. That’s it, we enjoyed our stay and would say again on a return trip to Monteverde.

Room was spacious, bed was comfy, and staff was friendly. Everything else was substandard. The weather was cold, windy, and rainy so the pool was not much use. No heater in the room so it was very cold in the room. Very few amenities (surprising considering the high price), no courtesy water, no hot water pot, etc. Also the room was extremely loud from wind noise, so loud we needed ear plugs to sleep. Breakfast was very BASIC at best. So disappointed with breakfast that when lunch and dinner time came around we looked elsewhere for restaurants. In short, not a good stay.

Front desk staff was extremely friendly

This hotel is outstanding and faultless. We wish that we'd stayed longer. The hotel is a 2 minute drive from cafes and restaurants, and is therefore perfectly set in its own grounds and tranquility. The staff are excellent and attentive. The food is delicious - we ate both breakfast and dinner, and both were equally delicious. We have no hesitation - we would recommend this to everybody and would return again.

I stay at 10 to 15 hotels per year, and this, is one of the best. Not only is it gorgeous and incredibly comfortable, it's in a magnificent estate, super close to the entrance to the monteverde reserve, and the views are stunning. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room very comfortable. Top marks across the board.

The pool was great! Water was heated because it can be cool for certain people. Hot tub was great! Courteous staff.

Sparkling clean with great pool area. Hard to travel to and from if you don’t have a car. Limited dining options and expensive dinner menu. Other than the pool, not much else to do.

My family and I had a great stay here. The hotel room was clean, beds were comfortable, property was beautiful and the included breakfast was delicious. The best part was how friendly everyone was from the check in desk to the restaurant staff. Will definitely stay here again

Honestly, this hotel should be rated much higher. It felt luxe and private. Employees remembered us by name, always friendly, warm, and attentive. The pool was exceptional- heated to a perfect temp and so big that it always felt as if we had the whole pool to ourselves.

From start to finish an absolute delight to stay here! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff are all so kind and helpful, food was good. Loved it! Had a massage too! Highly recommend it’s a great place to stay.

This property is well maintained and staff are great. It is a little far from town and the road was not the best. The room did not have air conditioning or a dehumidifier so it was not as comfortable as it could have been. Did not use the pool but it looked nice. Breakfast was great and the service staff were friendly and accommodating.
