Very poor hygiene, light not working, chair broken, loud noise at night.

An Ikea furnished flat, good in size, and cheaply furnished but sufficient. The location on the 5th floor was communicated 2 days before, and that the lift was not operational. That itself is a deal breaker, but the company would not offer a refund. They did claim on their site that the lift was not working, but never stated this was a 5th floor appartment.

Be prepared to climb to your floor (mine was 5th) as it appears elevator doesn't work for ages, but no information on that. Adding new batteries to the remote wil allow you eventually switch the TV on.

Lift wasn't working and I was on 6th floor

Smartflats is a scam. Stay away. The apartment looked nothing like the pictures, with bare rooms, the sofas are stained and dirty, the furniture of the terrace are torn, and the elevator did not work for a while when we got there, as the property manager told us. The walls need a coat of paint. It’s a 7th floor walk up with suitcases and kids in tow. We contacted management for a refund and they said to send pictures. We did. They said to wait for an answer. We never heard back. We went to the hotel across the road for all our stay. We contacted Expedia for a refund as well and they said after a few days that Smartflats were not responding to their emails and calls, so no refund possible, even though we explained the situation and sent them the pictures.

I picked it because it was a one-bedroom apartment which would provide enough room for my family while visiting Belgium. Unfortunately, several things were wrong from the beginning. First, the air conditioning didn't work. Also, some of the lights did not work, and those that did were all controlled by one light switch. Only the main switch worked. Additionally, we found that the duvets had terrible stains on them, like dried bloodstains. We talked to someone on the night we got there and they said that someone would come to take care of things the next day, but nobody ever came to help make things better. We left early, after they were unresponsive the next day.

They changed the code for entering the building with out notify us. We called the number they provided, but nobody answered. We waited outside for more than one hour to get the new code. They did not even apologize for it.

The elevator did not always work and we had to walk to get to the 5th floor the room had not been cleaned nor was the bed made the tv did not work we were awakened several times during the night by loud people inside and outside the building and they even rang our doorbell to let in. we tried to contact security but no one answered

The flat was spacious and comfortable. There were a few discrepencies which I reported via email and were never addressed during my 21 day stay. Property management was one of 2 bigger issues. Unless you called multiple times to follow up and push to address problem then there was literally no customer service. Also no one proactively scheduled the weekly cleanup and it took 3 calls and 5 days to get someone to the flat. Lastly but worse problem is there is a night club next door and this should be disclosed to renters as it will disrupt your experience if you are a light sleeper. After discussing this with owner they could not relocate me and allowed releasing the commitment but reimbursement amount was going to be based on nights rebooking the flat putting all risk onto me. Therefore forcing me to stay. Never again with Smartflats

Excellent, very comfortable property close to public transport, shops, restaurants and important business areas.

Great spacious quiet property in a great location. Really enjoyed the check in service. If you arrive early and apartment is not ready there is a place where you can drop off you bags, connect to the internet and have a cup of coffee. The floors were not fully cleaned for my arrival. Other then that was pretty clean. Probably needs some shelves or hangers in the shower/bathroom. If you need anything you need to contact them 48 hours upfront.

Confortable, convenient location and well equipped

Es cerca del centro la grand place aproximadamente 20 minutos caminando depende como camines, del Manneken piss y demás atracciones mi única queja es el wifi como que de noche a veces se caía y después de unos minutos volvía el resto excelente 🙌

Great location, quiet despite a busy street, very spatious apartment. A bit more maintenance would help, e.g. there was a huge crack on the glas window, doors handles got stuck and failed to close doors and even lock the apartment front door. Maintenance came exactly during our rest time and did not fix all door handles.

This is a very beautiful flat and extremely well located if you need to work close to the European Quarter but want to be fairly close to the centre. The flat is big, has two big rooms, and it's easy accessible, bed are comfortables. There are quite a few places for breakfast nearby.

The lights were not working when we arrived. Management didn't send the electrician to fix the lights until very last night of our stay. They also didn't inform us so we were surprised to see the electrician when we returned to the apartment. The Wifi coverage was spotty and weak. There was almost no signal in the bedroom.

did not sleep at all with noise from a neibouring night club the company knows about, it was going until 5am!

The flat was nice and spacious in side for two people but could have done with air conditioning. Unfortunately it was very warm in the flat even though we had a fan on in the day this was noisy at night and also couldnt have the balcony door open for same reason other than that was lovely and private .

Awful smell from the bathroom. Clear sewage problem.
