Breakfast excellent

Nice location overlooking the sea though some rooms have terrible view at the back of the hotel looking through filthy windows and brown net curtains. Most of the staff helpful and pleasant. Food good. Basic rooms very expensive and very small. A bit tired. No fridge in room, no frills. Good breakfast

The hotel is in a great location. The staff were very very helpful.....service went above and beyond (particularly when i left my car keys on the desk and the receptionist came to find me before I started to panic!!).

I have stayed in many hotels in Eastbourne normally weekends but I have to say The View Hotel is the best I have stayed at the View it's in a nice location right on the seafront(says in the title) the staff are friendly and helpful the breakfast is amazing and if you don't drive everything is in walking distance from the main station and good for solo travellers I was given a single room with balcony over looking the seafront amazing! will not look at other hotels in Eastbourne this has everything 10/10

This feels far more like a 4* hotel than a 3*. The room was perfectly clean, a good size, with a comfortable bed and perfectly adequate amenities. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout. Highly recommended.

We love this hotel and have stayed lots of times great breakfast and the night before we stayed at banatyne which was so over priced compared to this great hotel with the best location on the seafront.

Really nice hotel, nice lobby, nice bar area, nice restaurant , the only thing letting it done was our bath shower screen. The bottom trim had nasty blacky/green mould on it, we were only there for the one night so there was no point in complaining about it & moving rooms.

We've stayed at The View several times, it does everything well and has been consistent over many years. There's nothing quaint, or exceptional, but it is all you need, the breakfasts and Sunday lunches are excellent

Reception staff are amazing. I stay a lot at The View the staff don’t change and they get to know you. Breakfast staff the same always friendly with a smile. Breakfast is amazing. Bar staff are great. Bar food needs changing it hasn’t changed at all. So as a regular it gets boring. But lots to eat around. Gym is good too.

Very good position in Eastbourne for the tennis and Devonshire Theatres. Nice room over looking the sea.

The hotel was a really nice place to stay. We were in Eastbourne for the tennis and it was close to that and we had a beautiful view of the seafront. The room was quite spacious and the breakfast was very nice. We also visited the cafe for dinner one night and used the gym. Had a really enjoyable stay here and would recommend.

Excellent hotel great location

Had a wonderful stay for 3 nights .everything was great. Had to change room as my friend couldn’t get in or out of bath to use the overhead shower. They changed our room the following day to a beautiful large room with 2 balconies and double walk in showers .

Nice room view of seafront. Shame glass of doors pretty dirty and balcony glass. As not a very clear view. Cot supplied for my grandson. Not as described. No bedding. Took 3 goes to get in put in room. Signs of wear and tear in room and bathroom. Room service very good. Parking at front of hotel . Can get permit when u check in. Overall feeling when checking in and out. Not the friendlies. Checking out didn't even give eye contact. Overall was a good night away. Good location. Very quiet room. Not bad for the money

Booked a single room at the front with a balcony Very clean and comfortable However, the hot water tap would not turn, i contacted Reception, who immediately moved me to another room along the same corridor Not another singel room but a double, on the corner, with two balconies it was lovely, very impressed Breakfast is a buffet and very nice, excellent value
