Good

My bride and I were celebrating 50 years since our first date this same week and several hotels we planned to stay at were full but this one still had rooms. We were somewhat reluctant at first because of the whole disco and Disney character theme but everyone we met made our stay memorable in deeply personal ways. The brunch was also extraordinary.

The hotel was really good with communication, and made us feel welcomed at check in. The room was small, but comfy and well designed. It’s really close to a metro stop, which is really helpful for getting around. What I loved was their breakfast buffet. Usually these are hit and miss, but this was a hit. They had a pistachio break that was so good, I wanted to run off with the whole loaf.

The overall experience is nice and the room was comfortable. A complimentary bottle of water would have been appreciated. I expected at least a boiler in the room , there wasnt. They want us to really go to their restaurant for everything. The loby is quite small and the restaurant takes the whole of the space. So it was more a hotel for sleeping

Super cool vibe in the hotel. Although the room was fairly small, that is what we ordered. EXCELLENT food (dinner and breakfast). Everyone was so nice and helpful. No question we would stay there again.

Quirky and comfortable hotel about 20 min walk from old town. Chargeable parking in underground car park accessed from back road. Comic masks in rooms. Enjoyed outside eating and cocktails in bar whilst watching world cup rugby. Pricier than expected but good

Hotel decor and size was lovely. Room was great, quiet with a comfy bed. However disappointed that the staff at the hotel were quite rude and not friendly - I asked for a coffee in the morning and they tried to charge me for the full breakfast! That being said it was a nice hotel and a great location in Lyon.

The entire experience was made by the woman at the front desk. Extremely helpful.

Stylish rooms, reception and bar/restaurant - very friendly staff. Bathrooms have shampoo bar and cardboard packaging and plan to go plastic free in future which is good. Restaurant can do great vegan dishes but strangely nothing on the menu. Something they need to change so that there is more choice of healthy options. It wouldn’t cost them anything as any good kitchen has fresh fruit and vegetables.

Great bar and entertainment, good location

I'd stayed at other Mama Shelters before and this one was a bit disappointing. The Medium Mama room was quite small with very basic decor in the room itself. The bathroom in particular was basically what you would get at an Ibis. The hotel itself was in a bit of weird location and it basically seemed like an Ibis with some text drawn on the mirrors. Staff were great though, which is a pretty consistent trait of Mama Shelters.
