Lovely hotel in the heart of the city

Jessica was lovely. Only had the place for a few months. Going to be a very nice hotel in a great location.

Good location for walking around.. lovely and helpful service from the reception staff.. comfortable and good linen.. unique retro styling perhaps a little rough around the edges.. needs a little attention but on the whole a great experience

Perfectly situated near the bus station, our overnight stay in this hotel was excellent.

It is a pleasant hotel although only 2 star. Well maintained. Well located close to old port. Only problem was lack of air conditioning so room unbearably hot (we stayed during the heatwave)

This was a last minute booking after a busy cycling day, and it was like an oasis for me. They have a closed patio where you can safely park your bike. I loved the original decoration of the hotel and the room, and the extremely welcoming staff. Breakfast was simple but good. Location was awesome, at walking distance of everything.

Lovely hotel very very central. Clean, spacious room with only one drawback, they was no curtain so all could see in. Very friendly, efficient staff.

The hotel is located in a fsirly lively but safe district in an older part of city centre. Quarters wrre cramped but OK. WiFi was not reliable.

Excellent location. Very helpful friendly staff - without exception. The concierge, Karim, told about the free car parking which is a 5 - 10 minute walk from the Hotel and not only is completely safe it saves you a fortune in parking fees. Top tip - ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you are a light sleeper.

A quirky hotel with styling going back to the seventies. Friendly staff, we were able to check in early as our rooms were ready which made life a lot easier. The bedrooms are a bit tired but comfortable with a balcony overlooking a courtyard, ideal if you are there in summer months. The hotel is well located to explore the old port of La Rochelle and about a 20 minute walk from rugby stadium. Public parking at the top of the street and a market at the other end. Slight mistake with bill at checkout but resolved satisfactorily.

This a hotel for whom enjoy having a nice room in a great location. The rooms are colorful, beautiful and small. It was a great experience and I'd love to go back. The staff was amazing. The best staff!!!

Downstairs room smelled strongly of damp, and toilet + shower "wet room" possibly the cause. Reception moved us upstairs where the room was much better. Staff very helpful and pleasant. I think the price we were charged was higher than the price advertised on Venere initially when we checked out hotels. Maybe £64 instead of £54 per night, but we were charged the room price on the paperwork (plus tourist tax) so maybe the original price went up after we chose the hotel?
