Nice hotel for the price… the breakfast is fantastic. The owners are lovely. Needs some little refreshing in parts. Not easy to find based on any gps and signage.

This hotel more than exceeded our expectations in every way; our lovely room featured a huge private terrasse and a comfortable bed. But yhe highlight for me was the breathtaking views from the breakfast terrasse. It literally brought me to tears. This hotel is a hidden gem that you must visit.

Really nice hotel. Nice breakfast. Love the history. We drive into the town for dinner. Was really nice stay. Unfortunately it was raining so couldn’t admire the beautiful views of the coast. Great hosts.

We showed up late, the woman in the front took lots of time to show us around and the “ we will treat you like family “ style honor bar. The room and view blew us away, Ocean views, vineyard views, on and on. They had a very fine breakfast and in the evening they had outstanding sweets laid out. My wife is going in for brain surgery in two weeks. They showed her the loving care she needed, so much so we could not help but cry. They had no idea what we are going through. So thank you very much for your love and family Values.

What a find. If you are visiting Getaria this lovely small family-owned hotel is highly recommended as a base. The towns of the area and walks/ hikes are easily accessible. It is situated on a hill overlooking the town, ocean and vineyards. Rooms are very comfortable. (Ours had a large east-facing patio). It is a 15 minute walk into town down a path, a bit steep on the way back but should be manageable for most people ( or take a taxi). Setting and position is great. Very helpful front desk. Again, highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful property, well-maintained, family-run. The breakfast was excellent, as well as the prepared dinners they had on hand. Everyone working there was a pleasure to deal with; we will definitely be back!

Hotel San prudentzio is probably one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. The views are amazing, the environment. Super close to Getaria city center. To Zumaia and Zarautz. Breakfast was amazing too.

This is a stylish, calming, quirky place to stay, we loved it! There are mid distance views of the sea from the terrace. We had a lovely bedroom with huge comfortable bed, great shower and balcony ( also with views of sea) Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, great homemade tortilla! We ate in for dinner, you can choose things from the fridge and microwave them then fill in an honesty card as to food and drink. Definitely recommend

I don’t know why this hotel is only rated 2 stars, it deserves to be at least 4 stars. The building is beautiful and modern, with a lovely sitting room with fireplace, and a small kitchen where you can prepare snacks for yourself, or have a drink or a glass of wine (on the honor system, you make note of it and pay when you check out). The rooms are large, modern, very clean, nice big walk in shower. Ours had a large balcony looking over the surrounding vineyards and down to the sea. The hotel is situated just outside the town of Getaria, in a lovely hillside setting. We did have some trouble finding it the first time as our car GPS sent us to the wrong San Prudentzio, and though we could see our hotel across the valley we had trouble finding the road to take us there. Once we found the hotel we realized it was worth the trouble to get there. The staff were very helpful, recommending area restaurants and making reservations for us, also pointing out places of interest in the area. It was easy to get to San Sebastian and also Bilbao, and lots of interesting towns in between. The breakfast was included, with a large selection in a buffet, plus freshly cooked eggs and bacon if you wanted them. There were lots of good restaurants in Getaria, no more than 5 minutes drive away. I would highly recommend staying at the Hotel Prudentzio if you are coming to the Basque area of Spain.

A jewel of a hotel inside a vineyard, rolling green hills and sea below. Decor is light and beautifully done. The Basque breakfast buffet has all you’ve dreamed of...tartes, tortes, fruits, delicious varieties of ham and sweet breads. The staff is a family with charm and kindness. Two small towns are minutes away with restaurants and beaches for swimming. A luscious and calm Basque discovery.

A top quality boutique-style hotel. Rooms are clean and attractive, light and bright in style, with nice fittings in the bathrooms. Very nice ambience overall. The simple, but very good quality, breakfast is excellent. Lovely views of the coast from the rooms facing east i.e. towards the town of Getaria. Views from the rooms to the rear are slightly less good but still have sea and vineyard views. A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

My stay at the Hotel San Prudentzio was simply wonderful. The rooms are bright and fresh, the views of the vineyards and ocean are picture perfect, and the level of service was outstanding. Located a few minutes outside of the town of Getaria, the friendly owners have created a relaxing retreat that is an amazing value for your money. The hotel's details have been thoughtfully considered with beautiful decor, huge windows, relaxing music in the public areas, delicious homemade breakfasts, and a lovely deck looking out to the sea where you can enjoy a coffee or the hotel's own Txacoli, a crisp white wine made from grapes grown right on the property. This is definitely one of my all-time favorite hotel stays. Highly recommended.

superb views, neat place amidst beautiful hills and vineyards owners could not have been nicer and diligent family run, special location, easy access via car to day trips, plus next to footpath/camino de Santiago and to top it off, owners produce a very good Xacholi (unique semi fizzy dry white wine)!
