We had a wonderful time at sun siyam. We were well looked after by all of the team.

The room was absolutely amazing, however being an expat of the country felt the staff were more attentive to the caucasian. And being the only patrons of the hotel that were non causcasian.

We spent 5 nights at Sun Siyam and we had a wonderful time, including a fantastic Nee Year’s Eve party. The staff were fantastic and so friendly. They looked after our little boy like royalty! We spent time on the beach and round the pool. The food was excellent with plenty of choices including lots of amazing vegetable dishes. We did a cookery session with the chef and enjoyed cooking the items we had selected from market. Everyone from the GM down made us feel very welcome, and we very much appreciated this. Our room was great for the three of us with a huge bathroom and outdoor bath. A lovely beach location with friendly team looking after you.

Nice clean quiet hotel with beautiful views of nature and beachside pool and clean private beach and small gym. The rooms (villas) are big specious and clean with many toiletries and bath towels and coffee and tea etc. there is plenty of walking space within the hotel to enjoy a nature trail type walk with surrounding trees. Also the buffet breakfast and dinner is reasonable with good selection of food on offer. Finally the staff are really helpful and friendly and always there to help. Had a great stay and made my holiday to SL enjoyable with typical Sri Lankan hospitality.

Great hotel, with wonderful service on a beautiful beach. Who could ask for more? Scuba diving was also great.

We are touring Sri Lanka for 1 month and this was one of our stops. What a neat Resort and very friendly staff. We actually wanted to extend our stay because of our experience but had to press on. I would highly recommend Sun Aqua for the rooms, dining, beach access and atmosphere.

Lovely hotel, great pool. Restaurant staff a bit slow. But lovely.

We went for a one night visit but we were welcome nicely. Location easy to find. Great food. They have a great beach view. Beautiful beach and You can walk into the sea. good staff. Overall very good place to visit. My only bad experience is I found some mosquitoes in my room, but it’s pretty normal in SRI Lanka and they have mosquito repellents in rooms. Great experience. A good hotel still in excellent condition with nice rooms. We stayed for a couple of nights between Trinco and Kandy and it served us very well. Food and staff were good. Only 2 tennis balls available for use but too hot to play most of the time.

Good hotel for local standards, nice room, excellent and diverse breakfast, smiley staff but... Hotel in the middle of nowhere (and nothing to do around), over priced hotel food, dangerous edges to pool. Can not swim from beach.

We booked this hotel specifically for the ocean view, paid extra for the privilege but were given a room with no view. We asked for the room to be changed as we had paid for "Ocean View". We were told they were fully booked and were unable to change rooms until the following day. We were then shown the room that we were to have. The following day we were moved, but to another room with a partial "Ocean view". None of the rooms had "Ocean views and their website has since been changed to reflect this. On quizzing staff as to why we were given the room we had, we were told that others were staying for 10 days and we were staying for only 5. Not good enough. We then asked to see the manager and were told straight away that he had left and they were waiting for a new one! Two days later the new manager arrived and was informed by staff of our issue and our willingness to speak to him. We never even saw a second glance from him, nor were we offered any form of compensation for the extra dollars spent on the best room. Apart from the issue over the room. everything else was to a 4* standard, however a little more training for staff would be recommended.

I celebrated my birthday with spa service daily, delicious lunches on my patio with glasses of wine, and afternoon sun bathing on the beach! The staff at Sun Aqua are absolutely wonderful catering to your every need. They greeted me each day with a smile and were a pleasure to meet. I will definitely come back & bring all of my friends!!! Thank you!!!
