We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hotel Hornan. We had a beautiful view of the Cathedral spires, river, and rooftops from our small but very comfortable room. Every was clean and in good condition. Petter and Ishmam at the front desk went above and beyond to help gather information on (Ingmar) Bergman filming locations in the city and even prepared a summary cross-referenced with a local map. I'm a big "Fanny and Alexander"/Bergman fan and really appreciated their help as they added more than I'd found on the internet before leaving the States. The hotel's location is excellent and close to everything. Definitely recommend having a cup of tea or cocktail in the lovely lounge with its high ceiling and pretty decor. Hope to stay here again for future Bergman festivals.

I really loved the old school approach. No overwhelming signs telling you how to act according to environmental concerns and how great their carbon footprint is, just a clean and well kept hotel , in a great area with a nice breakfast. Really, not much more is needed! A warm and cosy 19 th century building in great condition. I would definitely not have a problem staying at this hotel again. / Kevin

Grand Hotell Hörnan has the charm of a small old-line hotel. The location is very convenient to the railroad station as well as to the attractions of the university and the cathedral. The hotel has a comfortable little lounge and a pleasant dining room for breakfast and light meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Loved this charming hotel. Beautiful details and character in this wonderfully located property. However, there was no on-site parking nor air conditioning. To control room temperature we had to have the windows open and given it’s wonderful location, There was a fair amount of street noise. Complementary breakfast was awesome; Many different options and well presented..
