This small hotel is in a historic building located inside the fort. Our room 'Red Maharani' had commanding view overlooking Jaisalmer. There is an excellent rooftop restaurant upstairs that has even better views and great food. Breakfast is included. The rooms and the restaurant are accessed through steep stone stairs and thus this hotel (and indeed all of Jaisalmer) are not suitable for guests with mobility issues. Also, i would not recommend this hotel if you have toddlers who misbehave, since the railings are low. This hotel is perfect for adults and those with older children.

Very nice small boutique hotel within the fort with nice view of the surroundings. Rooms were very well decorated keeping the heritage theme. Stag was excellent along with the free breakfast.

What a fantastic experience! The staff was lovely, helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect: far enough from the tourist madness in the main fort area, but close enought hat everything is within walking distance. The view from out room overlooked the entire cityz and it's quite a sight to behold. They offer masala chai on the house, and it's among the best I've ever had.

Great views, heritage decor done nicely, clean, quiet and helpful staff. Food was good too. Have to take a rickshaw up to hotel, no parking in that area or enjoy a upward hike.

We loved this hotel for a number of reasons. The staff , especially the man who served us at breakfast and dinner (should have got his name ) were all friendly, helpful and considerate. The room was full of character and comfortable, and there were other seating areas around the building that we could use. There was hot water all day. From our windows, we had a great view down to the main entrance gate of the fort. The roof garden and restaurant area were fascinating places to sit and people watch from on high, and the breakfast pancakes were particularly good! The hotel is on a little dead end so a bit quieter than many others.

The owner and staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room is lovely and clean. Nice antiques are decorating the hotel. The rooftop restaurant is also very tasty and we can enjoy a great fort view!! You can feel the history of Jaisalmer fort with staying at this hotel. I strongly recommend this hotel!!!

This hotel is nothing short of amazing if you are planning a visit to Jaisalmer. It is not one of the branded hotels where you are going to earn points or status for staying, but with only 8 rooms and a staff of 4 or 5 people you get unparalleled customer service the likes of which we have experienced at other 5-star properties across south Asia. Especially helpful is Tarun at the front desk and the cook who is from Nepal. These guys go out of their way to make your stay truly unique and special, right down to organizing flowers and a custom roof top dinner for our third anniversary which we celebrated in Jaisalmer. You don't need to stay in the desert camps to get a very unique and enriching experience with these guys. Their rooftop has amazing views of the city and built in couches so you are actually on top of the fort looking out over Jaisalmer. We had a great experience in this hotel and the breakfast options alone are worth the stay (excellent continental, Indian, and even Nepali food if you ask for it!)

Hotel building - It is a small building with just 7 rooms and is part of the fort itself. Amazing views of the city from the room and the roof top restaurant. The rooftop attracts a lot of other tourists/photographers who are not staying in the hotel. Staff - Very friendly and accomodative esp. Mr. Tarun. They did not charge us for Tea and mineral water bottles (which we did order a lot assuming it is chargable ). They arranged for our pickup from the taxi stand and arranged for our drop to the railway station as well, which was very helpful. Amenities- there are no luxury amenities (TV, pool, etc) but you will not miss those. They arrange for camel safari as well. There was a small goof up in the safari we booked, but it was third party's fault so cant blame the hotel for that.

This hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. It is a beautiful haveli right in the old fort and from the second we arrived Tarun the owner and manager and his wonderful staff did everything in their power to give us a special stay. Tea coffee water and little snacks were included and they couldn't do enough for us. The views were magnificent and our only regret is we couldn't stay longer. Thank you to everyone at the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night at this hotel. It has a great character and is wonderfully decorated. Our room was large with great views of the fort and a big bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful, though the food service is a little slow. We checked out to go on a camel safari and they kindly looked after our bags as well as letting us use a room to shower in and relax when we had returned from safari. They were also great at giving us a lift to our departure point from Jaisalmer.

The most magnificent view one could wish for in the beautiful city of Jaisalmer. Located inside the fort, this is the best choice if you want an authentic experience. Tarun who owns the place was super efficient and genuinely helpful in all aspects of getting me familiar to the city, local tips things to do, planning my desert safari. The staff was very prompt and caring. Travelers tip. Very critical that you call the hotel to arrange for your pick up from the station or wherever. The hotel is inside the fort and vehicles aren't allowed. It's a steep climb up. But the hotel will be happy to arrange for your getting there.
