The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We had car issues and they helped us out. The breakfast was different then most and was a refreshing change up. The beds were comfortable as well. We had a great stay and will return.

Bugs in room, can tabon floor. Not very clean. Old, outdated. Noise from tv next door sounded like it was in our room.

Pros - Beautiful scenic upper deck to relax on. Water for your water bottles and coffee available Comfortable bed. Cons - Hotel is in need of general maintenance. Room needs to be painted. Halls and entry ways need to be cleaned/ vaccumed. Water was difficult to control, easily scalds. No room cleaning during 3 night stay. No hot items for breakfast, except green chili soup?

the shower didn’t drain properly and the towel rack wasn’t screwed into the wall so when I tried to use it the whole thing came crashing down and gauged my foot to the point where i needed first aid. the manager didn’t do anything about it.

The room beds were clean and the mattress was very comfortable.

It was a great hotel with friendly staff. The room was a good size and seemed to be recently renovated. There were a lot of steps in the hotel to move through it, so if you have mobility issues, I would book accessible rooms. Great location in the quieter park of the city so there were no issues with parking or traffic.

Overall, the Expedition Lodge was a decent place to stay. They had lower prices than other hotels, which was nice. The location was also convenient. However, we were disappointed with a few things. Online, the hotel advertised breakfast starts at 6:30 a.m., but they actually didn’t serve food until 7:00. Having a later than expected breakfast time impacted our hiking times. The mini refrigerator froze all of our food. We tried changing the temperature, but our food was still frozen and ruined. The water pressure in the shower was very poor. Overall, we had a decent stay in Estes Park at the Expedition Lodge, we just were disappointed in a few things. The online information should be updated so the breakfast time isn’t falsely advertised. The mini fridge should have a label to indicate temperatures on the mini fridge.

Great hiking trip made easier by a hotel close to Rocky Mountain National Park; clean with good amenities; nice to have a breakfast option.

. This is 100% a motel with hotel like pricing. Shower that only midgets can stand up in, corners of the bathroom covered in dirt, toilet paper all over the floor when we initially checked in… it’s served the purpose, I guess.

Affordable place to stay for the area. Older, but nice enough. Location was good to get around the area. Close to the lake.

Reasonably priced but not the cleanest. Definitely could’ve been cleaner. Also booked a double queen bed, and they were double full beds.

Rooms need upgrading

Salt water pool and game room. Room was newly remodeled.

After we asked to move after sta6the first night in a room that clearly hadn't been cleaned it was ok. I might stay again if the price was right and the other hotels around were not available, but they need to refresh the property. Our second room had a cracked shower, and the first room had a toilet seat that would not stay up as well as hair and pee aroind the toilet, shower caulking was discolored, hair balls under the sink cabinet, floor sticky, hallways are dirty and painting is something to be desired as a 5 year old could do what they have done in places. Breakfast was interesting but ok.
