Worst experience ever. No communication. Staff is rude, no Internet - place was Dirty with stains and tears on everything. No bedding and tons of bugs. If you want to enjoy your time in the city. Do not stay here

Loved our stay here at the Apartamentos Turísticos Alhambra. We took the #3 bus that was very close by and were able to get anywhere we wanted in the city. The host was a lovely lady, super friendly and responsive. Two issues to be aware of - there are no screens (which looks to be the norm in Malaga) so you do need to deal with the occasional mosquito. We had fantastic weather (80 deg near zero humidity & cool at night) so we loved sleeping with the windows open but when we tried to use the A/C to cool the room at the end of the day, it wouldn't work unless it was set at 22 deg C and even when set at that temp. it turned on for a minute then stopped working entirely. We didn't raise the issue because again, we prefer open air but I would imagine when the weather gets really hot, that would be a major problem that needs addressing. The apartment is in the east end of Malaga so you really feel like a local and you get immersed in the culture. Very much a non-tourist feel which was great.

My stay was very good. Although on arrival had to sit outside for an hour waiting for someone to turn up and check me in reception not open for the whole of my stay

What a gem! The apartment was spacious and much nicer than indicated by the pictures. Very large, sunny balcony and a carefully managed garden and pool deck. We had such a good time here and extended our stay. Kitchen could be better equipped, but that's a very small detail in the larger picture.

The property is not within ‘Malaga ‘ proper. This was a big plus. It is located in a charming area called Palo with beaches and restaurants and a true neighborhood feel. We went into the City to experience the museums and other cultural opportunities but were always happy to return to the normalcy of this neighborhood. The apartment itself had none of the amenities that we would have liked to have found in a rental.....beach chairs, more than minimal kitchen tools, explanation about bus lines, local resources etc. The staff tried hard to make our stay pleasant. They did not speak anything more than very rudimentary English and we have basic Spanish language skills and so some of what we wanted/needed got lost in translation.

Beautiful, very clean, lovely and quiet, very rural, no postcards or straw donkeys! Manager Paco is a lovely chap who doesn't speak much English but I speak enough Italian for him to understand everything. There's the odd British couple, a small but gorgeous pool, great location for the bus - which is only 1.30 EUR - a 15 minute walk to the sandy beach, lovely restaurants, and bars with lovely tapas (cheap, tasty, great value). Will definitely return soon! AIRPORT SHUTTLE TRANSFER COMPANY - VIAJES URBIS MALAGA - YOU MUST NOT USE THEM! We paid for the flights and accommodation package deal online, ebookers recommended a travel shuttle service to collect us and return us to the airport a week later. I accepted and paid £28.92 and received the booking paperwork by email. We landed at Malaga to be met by a female rep from the north of England who was extremely rude and angry. She told us our bus had gone and that we have made another couple wait for an hour for us to join them in the car instead. We set off in the Mercedes saloon and the other couple denied the time-wait, saying it was only a 20 minute delay. The driver dropped the couple off at the wrong place! The same happened to us 20 minutes on. The driver made us walk for 45 minutes in 35 degree heat. On our return - they failed to turn up altogether! Just get an airport taxi for 30 EUR and forget Viajes Urbis Malaga!"

The hotel has a lovely rooftop pool (near the reception) with plenty of sun chairs and is reasonably close to the beach (about a 15 minute walk). The number 3 bus that can take you into Malaga town center is very close (about 5 minutes walk) and only costs 1.30 euros! All of the big restaurants are down by the beach, with the more popular restaurants being on the part of the beach closest to Malaga so be prepared to walk (or just get the bus as it passes through). We checked in late (past 12am) so had to pay 35 euros (not 25 euros, which was stated) and also paid a deposit of 50 euros each. On our departure day it took a little time to get our deposit back, so I would suggest allowing at least ten minutes for this. We asked for the airport shuttle which cost 30 euros but were left waiting for fifteen minutes as I think the taxi driver either forgot about us or was lost. Again, just ensure you have allowed time for things like this! Wifi was an issue throughout our stay; it worked on the first day but after that the connection was too poor. Luckily we had plenty of data on our phones so bare this in mind!

We stayed in Apartment 3D for 5 days. It's a beautiful apartment with everything we needed and if it wasn't there (hairdryer) we just had to ask at reception! El Palo, the neighborhood, was nice and peaceful with the beach, cafe bars and restaurants a 10 minute walk away. The bus to Malaga stopped just yards away from the apartment, ran every 10 minutes and only cost 1 euro 30 (approx 95p) and took around 20mins. El Palo is not commercialised and isn't full of tourists which was perfect for us. We would definitely visit again.

It is really a big apartment with a very nice terrace but it is 30 far away from the city center by bus. There was a really bad smell coming from the chicken sink and the same problems was in the close bathroom where the fan didn't work. There fornitures of the apartment were really poor: no air dryer, no place where to put towels, no soap, and few tools for cooking.
