Loved our stay here

Excellent rooms. The only downside was the spa facilities was not included in the price except between 7am to 9am it was an extra £20 to £30 per a person at all other time which i thought let down the hotel. I would of not booked it if i knew there was an extra cost.

The location was stunning and very picturesque. The spa and swimming pool view was fabulous. The hot tub location and view was amazing. Breakfast was very simple and traditional but quality was good. The massage quality and type of massage ( deep tissue) disappointed us as I usually get an hour very professional Thai massage by half price!!!

Wonderful food, very nice staff, excellent room with huge tub and separate shower, excellent bed.

Photos misleading, there is a new part of the hotel so didn't stay in the hotel shown on photos. Rooms very basic, food bad, zero breakfast left at 9.45, apart from bread & cereal. Service poor and whole hotel is run by youngsters who moan about having to be there. Tables never cleared so surrounded by used plates and glasses in restaurant and lounge. Not recommended! Very low standards and definitely not 4 star!

Bed very comfy, floorboards very creaky, very long wait for food at both dinner time and breakfast but nicely presented and hot when it arrived. Staff very friendly and the tot tubs in the spa were lovely.

My partner and I had a wonderful time.The Waterton Hotel provides a most peaceful, relaxing, luxurious experience. We will definitely love to visit again, and recommend it to anyone in need of a romantic getaway

Sadly got there, greeting was next to nothing, have you got a booking ? With a face that looks like she hated her job. To then be told they haven’t got our room what’s been booked twice, and booked in for over a month, plus had in email after confirming everything over emails. Basically was told if I don’t like it we can just leave and go home, 50 minutes to get there and over 1hour home with nothing offered as an apology on the night. To then be called up by the manager saying sorry which is fair enough but a discount offered if we wanted to use the hotel. A discount after the farce we had to put up with and costs it took to get here. Was looking for a wedding venue at this place but treated like this can’t see them deserving our booking, sad because it looks a lovely hotel, I might have just been the unlucky person that got this treatment

Overpriced for one night stay. Fantastic property but our room was very tired & the shower dated & needing repair. Pillows cheap. Breakfast service very slow. 45 mins for egg on toast & then it was served incorrectly & cold !!

Everything about this place is pretty. Room service terrible. Restaurant floor sticky. Rooms cold and very dated. Curtains hanging off. Staff attitude is poor. Think faulty towers but bigger and colder. The area and grounds are very nice, but the hotel aspect is poor. Many years ago it eas the place to go, but not anymore. Overall a very disappointing stay.

Loved it! Made our anniversary stay so special, thank you so much! We’ll certainly be back :) Staying in the main house was so special, highly recommend! We also added on spa treatments and facilities which were great too.
