The staff were wonderful. The facilities immaculate. The design in the rooms leaves something to be desired. Very small and dark /odd decor. Very clean, great sleeping conditions. Pools and sauna Devine. Breakfast was perfection. Dinner was inconsistent in quality. One of our best meals and one of our worst. Can’t say enough about the staff. So welcoming friendly and professional .

Great experience all round. We started our honeymoon here before continuing to Ponta delgada. Wish we spent more time here! Staff very friendly and attentive. Loved the premises, pools and sauna. Unfortunately could not get any treatments at the spa - you need to book before you come :( did not know that.

A great spa hotel with excellent service but the dinner let itself down. The starters were just not great. The burger was excellent but the pork was dreadful so was sent back. Shame.

We like the hotel which has an inside and outside swimming pool filled with hot spring water and are open 24 hours a day. There are Turkish bath and sauna by the pool. Room is a bit too small but it’s quiet.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the chef made eggs to order. The wood pizza oven and grill added flavour to the dry aged steaks. Everything we were looking for in a relaxing getaway.

Loved the indoor thermal pool. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were wonderful with special shout-outs to Tomas, Lilliana and Debora. The location was perfect.

Amazing hotel! We enjoyed all of the amenities including the spa. The staff were all very warm and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was lovely, as well as the dinner we enjoys at the restaurant. Small complaint is that the closets in our pool access room smelt musty. We didn't want to keep any of our belongings in there.

Room was nice but no outdoor space. Pool area was great ,having a hot spring pool on site was lovely. Dining room was lovely with a nice atmosphere, food was a little bland and expensive. Bar area lacked atmosphere ad wasn’t very welcoming. There was a lovely area beside the dining room to sit but that didn’t seem to be used and had no bar which was a shame. Overall stay was good.

This is an absolute gem of a property the thermal iron variety of private pools with 24 hour access alone are worth coming here for. I loved the outdoor pool at night with the cooler air and warm water. I had a spa service the coco and it was the best body scrub massage I’ve experienced. The facility is so cool with a fun bar, amazing staff and delicious restaurant.

This is an ecological style resort sitting atop of the thermal water source, a two-minute walk to boiling water wells (called Furnas), which, surprisingly coexist with 50-degree F naturally carbonated mineral water fountains. All that is in a quaint little town, which is home to an absolutely stunning garden filled with exotic flowers. Hiking trails all around allow you to get your fill of adventurous treks and stunning vistas. Then jump into one of several thermal water pools on property! Breakfast was amazing, featuring everything the island’s small scale farming culture has to offer. Dining menu was simple and reasonably priced. Drinks were slightly overpriced, except for locally brewed beer on tap. Parking on property is slightly limited, even slightly off season (mid September). Renting the smallest car that you can fit in is highly advisable! There’s no real highway on the island, and locals know how to drive, so we never felt unsafe in a compact.
