It was clean, warm and quiet. The staff was also kind.

Nice and close to the airport Lovely quite unit

The room is fully equipped with a large bed, a small living room and a simple kitchen. It is very cost-effective!

The staff member (owner?) that we interacted with was really friendly and helpful and everything was easy. The unit was incredibly spacious and well set out. It was super handy to Canterbury Uni and other places we needed to go. Really good value - highly recommend it.

If you need a crash and go near the airport, this is good place to stay. It’s in a neighborhood with other two story motels. Room was spotless and repainted, but had furniture from the past century with cheesy covers. Lumpy bed too. All towels were thin with tattered edges. Despite the windows, it was stuffy.

Excellent stay - the place was spotless and well maintained. We booked super last minute after flight changes and came to the motel late. The staff was extremely helpful and understanding, even gave us new toothbrush and toothpaste as we didn’t have our check in luggage and only our backpack. That’s going above and beyond

I stayed almost two weeks in a one-bedroom suite. Although from the outside, Ascot Vale Motor Lodge does not stand out among the string of places to stay along Riccarton Road, my room was outstanding. It appeared to have been recently refurbished and had everything I needed (kitchen, table, couch, wardrobe, bathroom, and bedroom. The bed was good and the wifi worked well.

Great place to stay with friendly staff

Staff very helpful - had a couple bed and she changed us very quickly to another lovely room.

The people were extremely friendly and helpful. They even offered to help with my laundry when rushing to leave and dryer wasn’t done yet. The building is dated and it’s not super walkable area but we had a car and it was super convenient to get to everything we needed from there. I would stay there again.

The Staff member on duty when we arrived, showed us to our unit, which I thought was very nice, usually we are handed a key and need to find our own way. While everything was clean and tidy, the motel dated in that no extractor fans in kitchen or bathroom and written instructions not to open windows.

I feel they need to update some of the furnishings eg sofa and chair had seen better days. The sofa had no support and uncomfortable to sit on. The beds were comfy and the room clean

Friendly staff, very spacious room

Located on bus stop for convenience to get to airport or downtown. Walking distance to restaurants and some shopping. Older motel but clean, the guy (owner) was very nice.

Good service and easy going

Stayed there for one week. Good place of you are staying a few nights. They have washing machine there which was handy, and some basic cooking facilities. It was a very short drive into the CBD and the major shopping centre was walking distance up the road. I would happily stay there again. Parking was difficult due to the site itself being small. I found on two occassion all parking spaces were occupied so I had to park on the road for a short time. I rented a small hatchback car which was perfect for the hotel, anything bigger would have been difficult to park there.

The room was good and service as well. I have comments about the shower.

Great motel

The bed only had one bedside table (and not on the side that I use) - this was a little annoying The Shower had mould on the ceiling - everything else we beautifully clean but I could not give cleanliness a high rating as a result. Car parking was extremely tight - had to back out once. Need somewhere to turn around I loved the location and the staff were friendly and helpful Shower pressure was poor once you moved the handle through to hot water (good pressure on cold water). More little milk things would have been nice - I had to ask for more and no problem getting them. But if more were put in for a start then anything left over can be used for next person. Sky channels were very grainy and difficult to figure out how to switch to sky. But normal free view TV was clear. I would come again - overall I was happy.
