Not a lot I liked about this place myself and another person had to wait for someone to attend reception a good ten minutes to 15 minutes. The other guest rang the bell three times and eventually the receptionist came down the stairs. My family finally entered our room, and the shower alcove was mouldy and there were spider webs in the window. My 6-year-old granddaughter went to the toilet, and the toilet seat was only hinged in one spot instead of two with the result that when she went to get off, she had to be very careful not to pinch her legs or break the other hinge. My daughter was with her and came out of the bathroom and said 'Mum did you clean your ears with a cotton bud' and I told her I had just got there and hadn't even unpacked, and she had discovered a used cotton bud in the bin that definitely was not ours. There were cutlery and plates in the room, which was good however just before checking out we moved a tea towel off of the plate and there was a slimy white/creamy bug running over the plate. The pillows were terrible. All in all we could not wait to get out of there.

We found the Sandors motor inn to be very clean and comfortable. The host was most helpful and welcoming. The motel is quite central and there are eateries within a ten minute walk.

Quiet and close to town centre

Had a few questions about the room, door to pool etc. The owner came straight over and helped us out immediately. It appears they have recently bought the place and are in the process of improving it. I was impressed that the rooms were well catered. Toaster, microwave, tea, coffe, biscuits plates, knifes, forks, spoons, glasses, even wine glasses, coffee cups, full sets of towels, hand cloths, etc. Even high end hotels don't cater for their guests as good as this. I do note the outside lights come on a little after dark. Probably time vlock control instead of opto sensor or now days programs can go by BOM sunset and sunrise daily changing times. The hotel is well positioned with easy walk to centre of town, clubs, aquatic center and KFC across the road. Although there is a Resturant also within the motel. Security gates keep this place well secured at night. I might suggest that since the motel is an older build that sound absorbing wall coverings are added to the inside of each room to keep noise from other rooms at minimum. You only seem to notice this at night once the background noise drops off. But all in all very impressed. Will be back again.

Stayed at Sandors Motor Inn and had mixed feelings. The room had a strong smell, like someone had been cooking in it, and the neighbour was noisy late at night. I was also woken around 1am by very loud bangs — almost like gunshots — and the girl next door screaming “help me, help me,” which was honestly quite frightening. On the positive side, the service from staff was great and they were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the noise and late-night incident really impacted the stay.

We love Sandors Motel, it is a wonderful place to stay on our way to see our daughter in south Australia. The pricing is good although they don't have the breakfast included anymore. We will definitely stay there again.
