The elevator stopped working and we were in the top story. Dust on the top of doors.

Apartment was fine, heavily used though and some things were wornout or broken ( no knob on the ceiling fan switch, one window wouldn't close properly). But the staff were very friendly and the area was very quiet.

I found that the reception is to I met with at the property was very accommodating and explained everything with clear detail it was a pleasure to have stayed

Property has potential but it's lack of cleaning and maintenance let's it down. This accommodation seems to be mostly shift workers short term stays with some residential, not for holidays. We tried to modify stay by moving back one day, Pacific Sands said no problem but we had to get Wotif to put it through. Wotif then made a big deal about it and claimed Pacific Sands would not respond so we either lost a nights stay or had to pay a large fee for the change. Upon arrival the reception at Pacific Sands had received nothing from Wotif and happily moved our dates by one day. A big thank you to the reception for doing that. We haven't used Wotif for some time and won't be using them again

Quiet location

Very convenient place to stay as close to airport and to Mackay city centre.

Very dirty! The carpet had stains all over it and there was lots of dust. The walls need a repaint too!

I got in late and the doors were locked so I was unable to check in to my room. I ended up having to go to a different hotel even though I had already paid for this one.

The curtains had traces of mold. The washing machine was not cleaned, the dryer contained towels left by the cleaning staff. There were cobwebs at the base of the dishwasher in the kitchen area. Pillows in second bedroom had unknown white marks/stains on them. Several surfaces had dirty marks. EG Doors and walls. I used this property several years ago but due to the state of the room, family and I will not be returning. This was reported to reception but have not been contacted by property management and therefore i expect they have little care for their guests.

This property is very run down and dirty! We had to be moved from the first room due to airconditioner not working and musty/mould smell and the second room had the most putrid carpet and a dirty sock in the wardrobe.

Property doors are very hard to open. We need both hand to open the doors. When doors are open and close very noisy.

Excellent customer service team

Advertised as 4 star. Room is underwhelming. Limited furniture/decorating, carpet stained, light fittings missing, throw pillows stained. Gross! Walls between rooms are paper thin. I was subjected to listening to a domestic dispute from the room next door, including the constant slamming of doors and children screaming for 3 and half hours. No info on after hour contact, complained in the morning and was told the after hour contact number is on the front door to the lobby - quite unsafe for a lone female traveller with a domestic dispute happening in the room next door and spilling out into the shared spaces. Reception didn’t care. I won’t be staying here again. Honestly a nightmare experience
