It was a too old hotel. It needs a restoration. Parking is on the streets.

Free parking for our motorcycles in garage. Staff were brilliant. Cafe serving meals on site. Bus stop right out side for getting around €1 anywhere.

Believe to have gotten bedbug bites at this hotel, I would recommend avoiding if possible. Also sewage smell coming from the bathroom when we first walked in the room and continued for the rest of our stay

Very convenient for access into and out of the town. Bars and restaurants nearby. Internally rather noisy, especially the plumbing and floors.

The staffs are very helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was that their restaurant is not open on Sunday’s.

Firstly this hotel was hard to find because our GPS could not locate it, as the addresss on Hotels.com website was incorrect. It is not Avenida San Lazaro , but Rua San Lazaro and whilst in Santiago de Compostela's city limits, it is in San Lazaro, a suburb about 10 km out of Santiago's central historic area! This is not a problem in itself, but the address on the website needs to change. Secondly the website also describes the hotel as only 2 floors, and the picture of the room shows 2 beds with nice modern white sheet covers and a base cover, this was also not our first experience. There is a 3rd floor that has loft like rooms with low sloping ceilings, this was the first room we were given. The carpet in this room was stained and old and the room was exceptionally hto. The beds were very low and did not look anything like the pictures on the website. We asked to change rooms, but the staff while sympathetic could not respond the first night as they were fully booked, however they did swap us into another room on the 2nd floor the next morning (2 night stay), this room was a big improvement and was similar to photos on the website. That all said, the hotel was good value for money, it has free parking outside, it has a bar which serves basic food, coffee and drinks. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel where you can catch a bus into Santiago for 1 E (about 15-20 min away) and there are plenty of other bars and restaurants in the area. The hotel is on the Camino.

Great hotel for a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is not too close to the old town but there's a bus stop right outside and it's only a 20 minute ride with no transfers needed to get to the tourist district. The bus route also has stops near the bus and train stations for side trips. The hotel has a nice café/bar and there are several others in the vicinity within walking distance (although there are no upscale/gourmet restaurants). Unless y ou want luxury, this is a great place to stay, (Also, it's alongside the Camino route as you enter Santiago so you can see the pilgrims if you sit at the outdoor tables and walking to the Cathedral following the yellow blazes is feasible (about 2Km). We wouldn't hesitate to say there again.

The only issue we had was that the Garmin GPS we were using didn't recognize the name we plugged in and the address of the Jacobi was not obvious on the building. Turns out it is located on the upper levels of a small shopping mall in town. We ended up stopping at the local tourist office to get guidance. Once they explained were it was, we walked 200 yards(meters) and founded it. Parking was underground and perfect. Location is perfect for exploring all the notable sites on foot.

This hotel is exactly as advertised. It's not too expensive and not too too far away from the city centre. I was looking for a decent place that wasn't going to bankrupt me and had free parking. San Jacobo provided all that I was looking for. I enjoyed my stay. The staff were friendly and helpful to me. The place is a bit dated, but I knew what I was getting. It was clean and affordable.

It was overall great. Nice, clean and cheap. We could see the hikers from El Camino which was a great experience. The restaurants near the hotel were the best. My daughter left her purse with her money and passport at one of the restaurants and the employees returned it without accepting any compensation.

We had a really late flight and had booked a room for the 4 of us ( two adults, two children ) to stay for the night. They only have double rooms, somehow Expedia had booked the 4 of us in one... Even though the receptionist didn't speak English, we managed to sort it out and he gave us a second room, adjacent to the first, at a discounted rate. The rooms were simple but very clean.
