I was asked for the room with empire state view and was not availoable when I checked in. The lady at front office asked me to come down and exchange my room the next morning. I came the next morning and the staff, Rocky Caban said that he can change my room with Empire state building view. He asked me to pack my luggages, bring them down to concierge and said will give my new key when I'm back in the afternoon. In the evening when I asked for my key, the lady at the front office said that the morning staff didn't exchange my room. She gave me 2 options: to stay at the same room or move to lower room. The thing is: 1. Ihg holiday Inn didn't give me the room that they had promised. 2. The lady staff (and the other one staff) were very rude. They shouted at me and my friend, talked in very high note and said that she would call 911 if we insisted -> you can check on the cctv. 3. The security guy in the morning also very rude. He kept talking on the phone when I aproached him for help. I don't understand why a huge chain hotel like ihg holiday Iin - especially the one located in very potential area: Times Square in NYC - didn't train their staff to serve in certain 'normal level' if they can not reach "excellent service" level. That's not the way a hospitality work. It was the worst service and experience I ever had and I would never come back to your chain again. I will keep posting some bad reviews about my worst experience with ihg holiday Inn Times Square, NYC on 4-6 Nov 2024.
