Great room and amenities. Helpful staff.

We stayed one night at this hotel, the hotel is family run & is staffed. They have a hot tub & sauna available as well. The rooms are quiet, clean & cozy. Nothing super amazing about this hotel but decent. The views are pretty good from here as a river runs beside & they have a nice fountain out front. They didn't shovel the snow until much later in the day. Ample parking here for free.

Lovely staff. We really just needed a place to stay for the evening while traveling around the country. Location was easy to access for us.

We got what we expected

After a long day travel, we arrived early at 3 o’clock, and we’re very disappointed that we could not even sit in a lobby. Accommodations Work great and the staff were very helpful. We were hoping to leave early to start the golden ring circle before the crowds however, breakfast does not start until 8 o’clock, which is a little late for trying to get an early start..

Clean, good condition, excellent bedroom and bathroom, quiet, good views, good breakfast Limited supper menu, no lunch, slight institutional feel to communal areas, remote so car essential.

We really liked the breakfast. It was one of the best of our entire trip. Free laundry Decent rooms. Some damage. Enjoyed our stay It does seem like it’s a one man show as the one man checked us. Cooked. Served and did check out the next morning

We received a free breakfast but not a room upgrade (at least to knowledge). We love supporting family owned businesses and it’s obvious the family cares very much about their hotel, dining options and other amenities.

This was an older hotel that was so charming. The staff was very friendly, the scenery was beautiful and I truly loved watching the owner work the horses in the ring with her loyal dog right there. Breakfast was amazing, waffle maker worked perfect. I requested another comforter and it was in my room within 30 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was clean. Washer and dryer combo machine in the room. Laundry facilities are in very short supply in Iceland and your clothes are going to get wet! The refrigerator REAKED like fish, bad, so bad. Cute sauna and hot tub. By a beautiful river but no view from the room.

Pleasantly surprised, this was a hidden gem! Spacious rooms that were simple, yet inviting with comfortable beds. Excellent kitchen with everything we needed. We woke up to a delicious breakfast. Excited that the "northern lights decided to come out and play"!

This hotel is very accessible from the main road, clean and provided daily towels. Kitchen and washer/dryer amenities. Very convenient! Breakfast offering was great!

Stayed for one night with my husband. Plenty of parking. The one member of staff (30. Oct 2024) who checked us in, cooked our dinner, and cleaned up was awesome. We found it a little inconvenient to exit the reception area to re-enter the area with the rooms, especially as it was drizzling. The kitchenette was stocked with the necessary tools for self-catering. The sauna and hot tub were clean and adequate. Unfortunately, our shower flooded the entire bathroom. The hotel is a little remote, but the view outside of our window made up for that. Thus, we both had a good night's sleep and found the hotel very peaceful. It would be a good stopover to the Snaefellsness peninsula. Overall, a pleasant stay and would stay again.
