Clean room, fantastic breakfast, overall quiet hotel!

It's a very nice hotel. Close the the city centre. I always live the breakfast. I usually go on national holidays, in which case they don't serve evening food. The rooms are basic, but spacious enough with large windows overlooking the city. I love coming back here. They have lots of different staff, and they've all been very friendly.

A quick and friendly check-in. The room was spotless. I had not counted on a free evening meal, but it was very good. Breakfast in the morning had a lot of different things, including Norwegian options. Very nice!

I think I've seen different people at the reception every time I went to this hotel, but each and every one is just as nice and helpful. The included breakfast and dinner are also great. So many different things to choose from and all delicious. I love going here.

Served an evening meal as part of room rate. No complaints as the food was good. Best to get down early as the heat lamps don't keep the food as warm as I like. However it was still good. Only thing missing was hot chocolate. :-)

We stayed one night and had opted for a Premium room. The hotel has a nice lobby with a Mid Century vibe (nice set of vintage Fritz Hansen chairs). Staff was welcoming and check in was easy as we had prepaid. Our corner room was the largest we had during our trip to Norway. We also were excited that it had a bathtub! The hotel has an interesting history. There was a great breakfast buffet and surprisingly, a buffet dinner was also included. It seemed the hotel was housing some workers with a local factory and breakfast and dinner was part of the “deal”. So all the guests benefited. We were first worried about noise, but there was no issues as they were up early. Porsgrunn is a nice town on a river, with an interesting history as the center of Norwegian porcelain production. It is also the base for people interested in renting boats to explore the river and canals. We found it a surprise and glad we spent some time there.

Unser Zimmer lag genau über der Wärmepumpe- sehr lautes Rauschen auch bei geschlossenem Fenster- Bad beengt mit Badewanne statt Dusche. Etwas in die Jahre gekommen- Frühstück exzellent!

No double bed available (2 single beds together is not a double bed). TV was old and lacked connectivity for external devices and poor choice of TV channels

Basic hotel, smallest shower in the world, lift was broken for 2 days but staff were good

Perfectly fine hotel, with a very spacious and quiet room. Multiple free meals were also available during the day. Possibility for charging your EV during the night. Highly recommended.

A good stay overall and a nice hotel. Breakfast was good but not top notch. Choices were lacking 15 minutes before breakfast closing time.

They had not received my booking, but did manage to give me a room. Room was noisy (noise from ventilation in the bathroom), so i complained, and they gave me another room. Fire alarm went off at 5AM for nothing, which was a really annoying. For the rest, comfort, cleanliness and service is ok.

The hotel was a beautiful stately older hotel. We would have appreciated some air conditioning or fans but it worked out okay. We wanted to visit the Porsgrunn Factory and this was a perfect location for that. We were also able to walk to restaurants and a beautiful park area.
