The facilities are well kept. The breakfast had lots of great options.

Staff very helpful and friendly, but only reception speaks English, breakfast medium coffee ro avoid, no AC in the room, not accessible entrance from parking

Large hotel. Rooms adequate size ,clean Bed comfy clean,rooms are older style,bathroom & toilet are separate little odd . Fridge/tv with BBC English news/hairdryer. Kettles & Cups upon request. Breakfast buffet usual suspects adequate.Opposite is pizza takeway and icecream shop & restaurant. Short walk to bus station, trains, and Town..long walk to pretty Old Town. Large shopping centre close by. Tourist information in Town is excellent . No public transport from the airport* Overall good choice no frills.

Loved everything about this hotel except shower head is hand held. Highly recommend. Staff was amazing

Very good hotel near the train station. The rooms were good, but the curtains could have been better. The breakfast was good with many options.

I needed a room asap and I found. The lady at the reception was very kind she could not give me a room earlier than a check it is but she offered me to keep my luggage in a locked room where I also changed my clothes and followed my trip to Štrbske pleso. Very nice and friendly staff even during a dinner&breakfast.Thank you!

Very good basic hotel

The room is small but the bed is comfortable. There is no air system in the room, so you need to keep the window open. Unfortunately, since all the rooms have balconies, people will go on their balcony to smoke and the smoke then comes into your room. You are able to request a fan from the front desk. The hotel is in a good location to walk to the city center.

We are 3 travelling. We each had our own bed which was nice. The rooms are comfortable, all the basics. The breakfast was a huge buffet and was delicious. The hotel is in the centre of the village so great location. The draw back is there no air so the rooms can be very hot . It was Sept so opening the window was fine for us but the summer it would uncomfortable.Staff was great except one girl in the dining room was rude. We asked for evening tea and she ripped the tea bags out of our hands and sent us to the front desk . The front desk was lovely. Gave us a kettle but they didn’t have black tea . Anyways over all it was a great hotel. Great price

Do not judge book by its cover - that quote applies here perfectly. The building does not look very welcoming from the outside, but rooms are newly refurbished ( except of bathroom, but it was very clean and practical, I actually liked its retro looking design ). Workers at reception were very helpful and kind. There is 20% discount card for Aquacity offered at reception for guests. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. If you want fried egg, ask the waiter, they will make it for you free of charge. Very professional waitress. Room extremely clean, bed comfortable, curtains block the light - insuring good sleep. I loved the place.

Must to say,this was my second stay at Hotel Satel, with difference, say 15 years between each... Lots changed, but many stay untouched and this will give you mixed feelings... This time, I got refubrished room, which means partial refresh done, with nice bedroom, lovely entry Hallway. But toilet, bathroom? You are instantly back in 00's, if not 80's :) But,and here is needed to focus on that BUT (!) everything spotless clean and with touch of really good care from staff. Breakfast are time machine back to 60's... But enjoyable and with decent options... When check out, I was confronted by front desk staff with my quick review for eBookers shortly after check in. For purpose, I put area as "Dangerous", while if you need to cross park nearby, you better stay off the land there. Receptionist trying to almost blame me, as it's not their area. If you arriving by train, you don't really have chance to avoid it. Overal, Good experience...

The pictures are definitely not representative of the property. It is an old, run-down hotel. The bathroom felt like a sauna so you had to leave the door open to use the toilet. Even in cooler weather, There was no air circulation so you had to leave the windows open. Because of the noise, we didn't sleep a wink for 2 days. They were out using chainsaws to cut trees at 0500 and people were partying at the restaurant across the street at all hours--literally past 0400 both nights we stayed there. It appears to be in a quiet area of town, but that was definitely not the case. I can usually sleep thru anything. I would recommend staying at another hotel if you want to sleep. According to the information card in the room, There is free parking at the hotel, but the front desk said that was not available for guests who book thru sites other than their hotel direct.

this is one of the best hotels in poprad,they have done a lot of renovating over the years,still more to do as the hotel acknowledges. the free breakfast is very extensive,with most items being available. this hotel is right in the centre and walkable to most central areas. a few minor points,the heating is univeral,cant be turned up or down and i found it too hot that evening.they used to not charge for parking but now there is quite a steep cost of 5euros a night but i didnt see this in description.lifts are currently being renovated.
