very convenient location and comfortable rooms

We checked in at 8.35 pm and there seemed to be some confusion as to who we were. Eventually after some between staff discussions, we’re taken to a room which was not the one we booked. Staff didn’t speak much English but there were 4 beds so was the minimum. They provided with one small bottle of water for 4! Room was very hot and no ac. Tap on kitchenette sprayed water from Body of tap, splash back missing and the kitchenette divider was also missing. Overall, the place had a feel of somewhere which had a lovely boutique idea and then fell away. Wifi didn’t work in room (disastrous with two teenagers!). Declined breakfast for EUR 12 each (cold buffet) and popped over road to supermarket. No information in room on hotel or of area. It just about worked for an overnight stay.

Beautiful proper on the canal

Grumpy check in, restaurant not open for dinner, breakfast very mediocre for 10 euros each (filter coffee was only lukewarm, fruit was wrinkled & blemished, croissants were very uninspiring). A shame as a nice location on the pretty canal...a little more effort would lift it all round.

Stayed twice driving to and from Italy. Dog friendly but ring to confirm, veterinary clinic close by which we used on return for pet passport completion. Lovely old building , good breakfast, restaurant open in August but not on return in October,. Joinville a pretty town with a few eating options

The hotel and its restaurant are 25m apart with garden between. They are old buildings - 1850? - but fully modernised: bright, clean and cheery. Cleanliness was the best ever seen! The restaurant meal was adequate - no better than that - but the meal and wine by the glass were excellent value for money. The restaurant is as modern and as clean as you could wish for!

First impressions is a beautiful hotel in an idyllic setting by the canal, surrounded by trees and very peaceful. That's the good stuff! We arrived at 3.30pm (check in is listed on their website and Expedia as from 3pm) to be told, by a man who couldn't even be bothered to say hello, that check in wasn't until 5pm (in French, no English spoken, again not as per their website). We had been travelling all day, in 30dgs of heat on motorcycles and that wasn't What we wanted to hear. When I pointed out the details on the booking and offered to wait (with a coffee) whilst he sorted a room, he reluctantly called the two chambermaids, interrupting their game of Candy Crush, and the room was prepared, something that hadn't been touched since the last guest left! The accommodation at first glance seemed impressive. A seating area with dining table and chairs, a kitchen with a shower room and loo off it, made up downstairs and an attic conversation reached via a very tight spiral staircase gave onto a room with two double beds. The worst, most uncomfortable beds I have every not slept on. We had dinner in the restaurant (that's another review) and breakfast was served there as well. A paltry offering costing £8 Despite having been asked to settle the bill the evening before with a female staff member, the 'host' chased us onto the car park accused Us of not paying and demanded we wait whilst he tried to track down his colleague, her mistake. and not even a sorry. Do not go there.!!

Bonjour, Je fréquente cet établissement depuis plusieurs années et globalement, cela s'est toujours passé correctement. Mon dernier séjour n'a pas été à l'identique, car le jour de mon départ, on a constaté que ma chambre avait été débitée deux fois et ce n'était bien sûr, pas de leur faute. L'hôtesse d'accueil, ce matin là, m'a été fortement irrespectueuse. De plus la propreté de la salle de bain n'était pas irréprochable. Trois araignées et de la poussière en quantité sur le rebord de la fenêtre. Pas de support de pommeau de douche (3*!!!). Le buffet du petit déjeuner plus que moyen pour le prix facturé, nous étions deux clients et il n'y avait plus de viennoiserie!

Schönes Hotel und nettes Personal. Frühstück war gut. Liegt etwas abseits der City neben Gewerbe.
