Good staff but the property needs updating. Sauna out of order, no towels near pool and some room furnishing way past replacement time. The attached dinner was really nice with a large menu and good people.

The hotel is in a great location close to the Fulton Street Mall, Barclays Center, and the subway. However, the hotel charges $150 for accidentals, did not have any washcloths only towels, and the room was not very clean. The lobby of the hotel is modern but the actually floors of the hotel are not. For this to be a Holiday Inn in New York City, it needs to be upgraded. I stayed only 2 nights but could have been better.

Motel inside, outside and lobby looks amazing rooms are run down and very older; rooms are motels not a hotel. Everything is old and run down. Management is very dishonest; I had to change rooms three times and they lied and added to the notes that the change was due to a view which was a lie the change was due to a soaking wet mold Smelling room with taped mirrors, a running toilet, drenched carpet and peeling chairs. Electric wires hanging from the mirror. It’s one thing to have a bad experience it’s another thing to lie about it in the notes. I have the videos and images. The price was triple the regular rate and the pics on the website most have been from decades ago because once you leave the lobby; the hallways are dirty, food on the floor, the rooms are just gross, old and run down.

Very clean however the rooms are dated. Carpet is old. Carpet on the floor is just a NO. However bathroom was very clean sheets and bed very clean. If you are needing a place to shower and sleep this is fine. If you want to relax this isn't the place for you. The Hilton or Hampton inn downtown Brooklyn is where you want to be.

I stay here often and it's been great, but this stay specifically was not good. Our reservation was from Thursday - Sunday and no one cleaned the room, replenished towels, washcloths, etc. By Saturday morning, we decided to leave early instead of staying until Sunday.

The location of this hotel is great, it’s close to multiple trains and it’s a park across the street. The pool is a nice added bonus along with the steam room and sauna The furniture in the room was peeling and kinda of old. But the rooms are a nice size

As other reviewers have mentioned the Holiday Inn downtown Brooklyn is tired & in need of refurbishment However it’s clean & in a convenient location with a subway station very near that will get you pretty much anywhere you want to be, it’s also handy for a quick transfer from JFK using the airtrain & LIRR with only a short walk from the station, note … if you get the breakfast package it’s not a buffet but the attached south/western / Mexican restaurant provides diner style food from a large menu, the food is very good but as you have to sign the check against your room # they expect a tip against the amount which was $40 for 2 ….. so just be aware that the breakfast is going to cost you something in tips ,also worth mentioning is the ongoing building work right across the road which look to be a lengthy job , they start early & make plenty of noise so avoid front facing rooms ,would I stay again? I would certainly look around as definitely better available but for the convenience if it was cheap maybe

Bit overpriced for overall outdated accommodations.. - pool and sauna were under renovation over the weekend but was only informed during check-in - room had some seeds/food on floor upon arrival - cards were “deactivated” during our stay, when we were booked for 2 consecutive nights. - ice machine were out of order - stairwell exit floor were sticky, had to use as elevators were always busy Decent when you just want a place to sleep and leave.
