Hotel well situated, friendly and informative staff, nice hotel finishes would highly recommend.

Very convenient location but their “king” bed room which I paid extra for was not a king size bed. Very small.

Loved our stay. So convenient for walking to centre of York and the park & ride. Staff lovely - really friendly and helpful. Great breakfast each morning and good choice for gluten free. Great value for money.

Hotel and staff were very friendly and some went the extra mile to make everything top class, including lots of tongue in cheek banter ! The only drawback was at breakfast as it was difficult to move between equipped stations (must have just hit at high peak time) so some of the hot food weren’t replenished quick enough, but the staff were soon on it. Very close to the centre and choice of close by car parks also reasonably priced. Would definitely go back and stay

Nice clean room, nicely decorated and lovely bathroom. The staff were helpful and friendly and made sure my parking was sorted and I had everything I needed for my stay. The bar was nice and well priced but I didn't have any food myself but I heard it was nice. I would stay there again definitely

The king size bed apparently is a uk king size which is actually a double..?? Only in this hotel..

Stayed here recently for a couple of nights. Room had lovely decor, really cosy and put together. It also had good amenities: quick kettle and a strong hairdryer (not attached to the wall so more convenient). We didn’t use the gym or have breakfast so can’t comment on those. Parking is first come, first served and was full by mid morning at the weekend so bear that in mind if you’re driving. There are other car park options nearby however. Our only complaints were: 1) that the bed was very firm, so we kept waking up in the night with stiff shoulders; and 2) the grouting in the bathroom was getting a little grotty so probably needed replacing or a deep clean. The room was otherwise spotless however. Staff were friendly. Overall, a pleasant stay - just maybe change those mattresses!

We have stayed at the Hotel Indigo in York several times, and it has always been a fantastic stay with a clean room, great breakfast and very friendly staff. We are planning to stay with them again in December for the pantomime at the York Theatre Royal and the Minster Carol Concert.

The room was comfortable and stylish and we were very happy with it. The hotel is a short walk from the city centre and not far from the station

We have stayed at Hotel Indigo on a few occasions when visiting York. Staff are always friendly and helpful and the rooms well appointed and very clean. Will definitely stay again in future.

​I recently stayed at the Hotel Indigo York and had a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—you are right in the heart of the city and can easily walk to the city center in about 8 minutes. ​The hotel itself is lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay, which really made a difference. I also have to highlight the breakfast, which was absolutely awesome—definitely one of the best parts of the morning. ​My only minor complaint was the shower design. It suffered from the same issue I’ve encountered previously at another IHG hotel; the use of a half-glass panel instead of a full door meant that water splattered everywhere, making a mess of the bathroom floor. It is a shame, as a simple full glass door would have been much more practical. ​Despite that, everything else was excellent. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-located, and welcoming base for your time in York, I would definitely recommend it.
