Great little place. The hotel was small and quaint. And the staff was amazing so friendly and helpful. We even went out on their sailboat Azul to go see the sharks and stingrays. What an amazing trip that was. The Palapa restaurant that was at the end of the pier was a fun little night spot with live music and good food. During the day you could float around in it, floating tubes out and back of the restaurant and enjoy the site efficient stingray, swimming below. Blue Tang Inn was the perfect little spot. Only five minute walk into town some of the most delicious food around.

Blue Tang is a great location! We (6 of us) were on the 'seaweed' side of island and a little stinky while walking on beach, but still such a great area! The Palapa Bar and Grill was literally just outside of the 'resort hotel' on the pier and was so much fun! A very short walk to Cool Beans Cafe every morning for coffee ( even tho we also had coffee downstairs provided with a nice continental type breakfast that was included each morning!) Another great restaurant and bar next door called The Sandbar with excellent food! Employees/staff were wonderful and rooms were nice and quaint! Great views too as there is a 3rd floor deck and you can see the sunrise and sunset on other side of island! Not one negative interaction with anyone! Staff helped us book our tours and transportation for everything! Great tour guides and lots of adventures! We rented golf carts and rode to other side of island to Secret Beach a few days....so much fun! Thank you to Blue Tang Inn!! *Trying to add great photos but won't let me load them......

First of all the website advertising is not the condition of the rooms! The ads are definitely a lot nicer than the actually room! The first notice was a musky mold smell. The 2nd situation was the AC being all the way down on temperature never got cold. Third the mattress should have been changed out 20 years ago. Lumpy and dips springs terrible sleeping! Shower had no water pressure and no hot water! Small bathroom! No counter space in bathroom just a sink. Definitely could not swim in water. Seaweed was terrible and stunk! The pool is very small. Overpriced for the hotel. You can go to a resort and stay for less money a night! Left due to obtaining a rash after the 2nd night. Paid for a week of stay up front. Let after 2nd night and hotel would not issue a refund! So of course had to dispute with bank to get funds back! Highly recommend staying away!

The staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. The hotel is very well kept everyday.

Words can not describe how wonderful our stay was !!! It sits directly on the beach , just steps away from the water. It has the cutest pool that so well taken care of and clean. The staff from the front desk to the night time security guard was the absolute best !!!! Don’t let its small quaint stature fool you , this is the best place. The location is central to everything. Splurge and get the ocean view room , SO WORTH IT ! They booked all the excursions and if they didn’t have something they worked hard to find something else. They really are committed to making you feel so relaxed and happy! They were so eager to answer all my questions (I asked a lot haha! ). I can go on and on but I think you get the point ! BOOK THIS HOTEL !!! If the staff see’s this review I want yall to know that you made my 7 days ( and birthday) in belize so memorable and fun and I will forever be grateful !

Booked for its affordability and was totally Impressed! The staff are wonderful and Warm! The room was so cool with all of its beautifully constructed mahogany wood work and authentic feel !

Love the hotel - right on the beach, a short walk from the ferries and all the snorkeling excursions. Took their sailboat for the sunset cruise and it was really fun. Multiple places to hang out - up on the roof, at tables on each floor, down at the pool, the area where they serve breakfast - which is really nice. Big room and full kitchen (used the refridge which was great to have). Really great place.

Great centrally located place to stay. All the staff: Wilden, Victor, Daisy, Giovanni, and the rest of the staff helped to make our stay great. We really enjoyed the snorkeling trip on the sail boat. Rooms were comfortable and air conditioning worked well. Would stay again and again!

I felt safe at this property. It was in a good location where restaurants, bars, and downtown was within walking distance. The room was very clean and comfortable. Needs better water pressure. Even though continental breakfast was included, I felt like there should be more of an option. It was very limited. Also, the office closed by 6pm so if there were any questions or any needs after you would have to wait till the next day or rush back.

Enjoyed our stay, first time staying in town

We absolutely love this place!! It was perfect staff were great. Victor watched out for the property at night and made coffee for early morning risers. Janet keep us full every morning with the best breakfast.will be back!
