Staying at this hotel was a last minute thing due to a mix up at our original booking and I have to say it was a godsend! We arrived 45 minutes after booking and were welcomed by friendly staff and a very clean room. The location was great and we went on a bike ride around the very quaint village and down by the river. I would definitely stay here again as it’s a great village hotel with great staff.

Over priced - £130 is really expensive for basically a pub stay and for what it was and not the cleanest - very disappointing! Staff lovely however. Receptionist/Waitress last night absolutely lovely. Food average.

The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was acceptable with a good shower. The breakfasts were basic, and the dinners were pub style but adequate. The area is right in the countryside and the historic village church is well worth a visit

You get what you pay for, it’s simple but clean and comfortable. Food is plain but well cooked. In short it’s an excellent stopover and we would be back without hesitation

Arrived quite late, but received a hearty welcome and smile. Evening meal again was close to kitchen closing but cooked and well presented Good breakfast and welcome in the morning and wished well with onward journey

Lovely quiet village location just a few miles outside of Penrith. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Food was fabulous ! We were a party of 5 adults and all said we would stay here again, and would happily recommend to family and friends. Thank you for a great stay!
