Clean room , comfy bed

The thermostats controlling the aircon/heaters were mounted directly in line with the heater outlets so that whenever the heater kicked in the thermostat immediately thought the room had reached the right temperature. This comical setup had been installed in our bedroom and also my sister's room. The name of the installers was, amazingly, printed on the units. The hotel management would be well advised to get the installers back to correct the locations of the thermostats - at no cost to them. Apart from this issue the hotel is a real treasure with a brilliant restaurant. This was our second stay.

Booked this under the VIP banner which allowed me free drink from their restaurant bar. The staff greeted me in a friendly manner and directed me to my room. I had booked a ground floor room which had the benefit of a patio door leading to an outdoor dining area which will be fantastic in the Summer. It also meant I could park my vehicle just a few feet away from the patio door which was massively convenient. The room and hotel itself is really well decorated and clean and my room had a great A/C system and fridge. I used the hotel gym which was not big but was functional and allowed for a good cardio and weights workout with only myself and one of patron using it for the duration of my time in there. There were plenty of dining options within a few miles of the well-situated hotel. I had a great night's sleep and breakfast the next morning was really nice to top off a fantastic stay all round.

Satellite TV was having issues but the staff seemed to know that they have to rectify the satellite TV system

I do love the Devon. Nice rooms, loads of parking, great food and very very good staff and service....well done, see you again.

Room not very clean. Dusty and lots of hair in the bathroom

Friendly comfortable

The rooms are on the small side and the pillows weren’t the comfiest. The pub area had limited seating for an evening meal without going through to the restaurant area.

Lovely stay. Large room out the back of the main hotel with great views out the large window of grass & trees. King size bed & lovely bathroom with bath & shower. This is our 12th visit as we use this regularly to break up our journey up & down the country. Staff are polite & professional.

Room was clean & well equipped, staff polite & helpful.

We had two rooms; one was nice but the other, room 216, had a terrible smell of stale cigarettes. This has left an awful smell on our clothing and luggage. Hotel staff were friendly. The bar area was clean and welcoming and the staff were very attentive.
