I love how the hotel was close to train station that goes directly to the airport and the beds were fantastic 💙

The room is SMALL. The bathroom had zero ventilation. Every time I took a shower, there was water all over the bathroom floor. I was shocked at the accommodations. Shocked! The positive side to this hotel is the steakhouse that’s attached. The food there is delicious.

Decent hotel but although they say there is parking, it's actually the train station car park, and quite a trek with your luggage. It was a struggle to find the entrance to the car park, especially if you've never visited before, and when you're not advised in advance of where the parking is. We parked for about 15 hours (overnight), and according to the information in the room, parking would only cost €15 for the duration of our stay. The reception duly stamped our parking ticket to ensure this was the case. When we left the hotel, we discovered that it was costing us €30!! Adding this to the price of the hotel makes it an expensive hotel for what you get. There was a fair sized hole in the middle of the duvet cover and what appeared to be a coin sized blood stain on the net curtains. I personally would not stay there again.

I have no words to explain about my stay at wartmann. It was one of the best experiences. Easily accessible for anyone who is coming for first time, don’t make a mistake to take taxi. Train station is infront of it and easily accessible. Best rooms, amazing service, secure. If i come again, it will be my top priority. Thank you

Good

First of all the reception was not open when I arrived so the access into the hotel is like air bnb, you get the card to swipe from the locker box close to the entrance door. The rooms are furnished budget style, stains on furniture everywhere. This hotel is run down in many aspects. The breakfast served can not be called breakfast to a 4 star hotel standard. Staff at the restaurant was unfriendly, they would pick the cutlery and crockery in front of you without any excuse if you actually finished your meal. The hotel will charge CHF 50 for 1 hour if you need a late check out. I wish i never stayed this place. It's right across the railway station and didn't feel safe arriving late at night. The pillows were horrible, like two bags filled with mattress foam. The storage room is unsafe as the door of the storage room is open and guests freely leave and take the luggage as they please. It's not monitored who's bag belongs to who so anyone can take what they like.

Location is great

A perfect location directly across from the train station in Winterhur. The room was very nice and comfortable with good amenities. I enjoyed the choices at breakfast and the location was good for exploring Winterhur as everything was in walking distance. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

A decent sized room, airy. Nice comfortable beds. The room had a tea kettle ( no coffee machine ). Breakfast was good but surprisingly there was no toaster in the breakfast room. Also only scrambled eggs and boiled eggs were provided. Our request for fried eggs was turned down. The hotel is situated only 20 minutes away by train from central Zurich and is located at a very convenient place - right opposite the Winterthur station. There are 30 minutes direct trains to the famous Rhine falls. There are 2 convenient stores nearby which is helpful. And some good restaurants too.

Incredible stay, the staff were amazing, daily housekeeping, good breakfast, right next to the train station!

Very close to train station.

We have stayed at the Wartmann a few times now and found the staff friendly and the room was great. Location is perfect for the rail station. Excellent breakfast
