We stayed here with a friend for two nights in a twin room. After reviewing the photos, we had a preference for a specific room and called reception a couple of weeks before arrival. They kindly secured it for us, which we really appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. What we loved: Great location, everything we wanted to do was within a 15-minute walk. We liked the industrial, retro décor . Although the room was small (as expected), it was well organised with practical areas. The room was very clean, the multi function head shower was good, and the complimentary water was appreciated. What could be improved: The mattress felt quite worn. A kettle and coffee machine would help elevate the stay. Adding bath handles could improve safety, and the toilet felt quite low against standard sizes. Soundproofing between rooms is limited, though we understand this may be due to the age of the building.

Hotel is in a great location, just a few minuets walk from shops, bars and restaurants. The only slight issue is that its located in a pedestrian area only. So, you need to park in one of the nearby carparks and walk a short distance. It's a lovely old hotel, but the rooms are modern, clean and spacious. There is a continental breakfast which is also good.

Clean, comfortable, great view of the church, bathtub, beautiful breakfast room with delicious good value breakfast, very nice staff, perfectly iocated near the station and the pedestrianised town centre. The rooms are small but it doesn’t matter as we were out and about.

Wonderful 4 night stay. Perfect location in old town to explore by foot. Very walkable city. Short walk from EuroLille and Flanders stations. No need for cabs/public transport. Plenty of restaurants and bars in all directions. Right next to beautiful church (so magnificent we thought it was the cathedral) Quaint and quirky hotel. No needs unmet. Staff were lovely and the breakfast was wonderful. Thank you.

Great location, great hotel, friendly staff

The hotel is located in the old town of Lille. First, the good thighs: excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful. I got an early breakfast with a full selection of delicious food, as I needed to leave early. My single-bed room was just opposite the elevator and loud from all sides. Also, all guests using the elevator or steps were to hear clearly. The ceiling creaked when guests walked above me, it was to hear all the flushing of the rooms around, and also from the outside, the street noises were loud till 1 a.m. The shower is suitable for thin guests only, as the entrance to it is very narrow. However, for a night to sleep over due to the general strike in France, it was just fine.

I normally love the Brughel, the staff and the feel of the hotel are generally excellent. This time I had a noisy room, lots of intrusive water noise from drains from showers and WC's in floors above. Ive stayed before but room 103 was a problem.

Very charming hotel with lovely front desk staff. Room was a twin room for my son and I and it was perfect. Not big (as expected) but it served our needs! Minutes from the train station which was perfect!

The hotel room was comfortable and relaxing. Please note, that this hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar as advertised, infact the receptionist told us, it hasn't had a bar for many years. The hotel is very near to the town, so restaurants can be reached very quickly. This area is busy and can become noisy during the evenings and night times. Lille is a walkable city and because we walked everywhere managed to have good night sleeps.

Overall the hotel is fine. The toilet is located in small closet. Bed was wonderful and is literally a couple minute walk from Flanders station. Lots of dinning options. Can be noisy outside and no air conditioning. It gets warm in hotel even on cool days. If you have the window open there is a lot of noise all hours. Great dinning and location.

Impeccable à tous les niveaux

Reasonably priced, lovely shower and location was perfect for Euro Lille and local attractions. Bathroom was quite small, but adequate.

very comfy and clean room - and great location. Beds very comfy. Also it was nice and warm and you could also open the windows. Staff very friendly. Breakfast excellent - very pleased we booked for that too.
