The room was clean and towels and linen changed every other day. The staff were amazing and helpful. We didn’t use the pool area as was up and out every morning. All in all it was a lovely hotel and everwhere for us was within walking distance. Having the supermarket next door was a plus, couple of minutes walk to the beachfront, cafes and bars.

Only stayed for one night, the rooms were big and nice and clean. Staff were lovely and good selection at breakfast.

The breakfast was cheap and AMAZING! The staff were very kind and helpful. The outside of the hotel seems simple and basic but the rooms were super clean and the bed was amazing! Strongly recommend the accommodation.

Supermarket is literally a few feet away across the street. Bus to town is handy you don’t have to drive and search for parking for hours. The girl at the front desk who checked us in is super amazing very welcoming and kind. The hotel only has 3 parking spots but you can locate spots on the street. They do give you a large bottle of water. We did stay a second night and the second room balcony was useless as it was in a tiny courtyard with dead plants on it. Across other balconies. So opt for a room with view however it was a cheap option for one extra night.

Thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Eltina. Quick, friendly and efficient check-in. Good sized room and balcony. Comfortable beds, good storage space, decent sized bathroom with good supply of hot water. Cleaning staff were exceptional, with towels and bed linen changed frequently, and room left smelling fresh and clean. Adequate self catering facilities. Very tasty, varied, and good breakfast items, well presented and fresh. Staff were very pleasant. Location very good with short walk to the beach, bars and restaurants, and supermarket across the road, Would recommend this hotel and would stay again if in the area.

Walkable and quiet

Everything was nice

We had a great stay at Hotel Eltina! The hotel is extremely close to the beach, and about a 25 minute walk from old town Rethymno.

Great location 2 blocks from the beach, walking distance to restaurants/shops, and next door to a large grocery store. The pool was lovely and never crowded. The staff was very friendly and happy to answer questions. The breakfast was AMAZING, and I looked forward to it each morning. The laundry facilities were easy to use. Clean, spacious room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Cute cafe table and chairs on the balcony as well as a drying rack. One tiny drawback: the wifi was spotty in our room, and we had problems maintaining a connection. (It was fine in the lobby and at the pool.)

Genuinely one of the best places I’ve stayed in. Close to beaches, restaurants, bars and a supermarket. It’s about a 30 minute walk from the hotel to the old town, but the walk along the waterfront is lovely, and there’s also a bus stop across the road which is super convenient (you can buy bus tickets directly from the hotel reception). I walked home alone late at night, and never felt unsafe in the area. It was, however, the staff that were the standout for me - they were so friendly and accommodating, and really made me feel welcome (especially as a solo female traveller) - they went above and beyond to make my stay truly memorable. I will definitely be returning!!

Clean place with helpful staff. About 20 minutes walk to the city

We had a late check in and staff was very hospitable to us. Rooms were clean, simple & generally comfortable. Only there for one day but it was great stop over

Two minutes walk to beach and one minute to supermarket. Old town twenty five minute walk but hotel on bus route. Buses every twenty minutes. Hotel has a lift to upper floors. Greek style breakfast with eggs (3 ways), cold meats and cheese available. Also cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt and some pastries and cake. Room clean and comfortable with modern en-suite. Limited car parking but free parking available in side street adjacent to hotel.

Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis, unserem Wunsch, ein Zimmer in höherer Lage wurde entsprochen. Das Hotel ist schon älter, die Lage etwas zugebaut, aber die Zimmer neu renoviert und sauber. Ausstattung Küche dürfte etwas besser sein, aber man kommt zurecht. Uns hat es insgesamt für das was wir bezahlt haben, sehr gut gefallen. Wir hatten Selbsverpflegung, ein größerer Supermarkt ist gleich gegenüber.

Veldig lite rom, balkong rett ved en travel gate. Godt utvalg til frokost. Litt forskjellig små feil på rommet. Hadde tenkt å få byttet rom da det var litt lite, å bråk fra gaten. Men vi klarte to netter
