Our hosts were absolutely gorgeous. I loved our stay here. I loved the old style of the house. Our room was roomy, comfortable but simple. We were right next to Daereungwon - actually we could see it on our porch, just over the fence. Walking distance to pretty much all of the historical sites. Although make sure you eat early as we found a lot of the restaurants around the area closed at 6 pm. We had a cute little dining room where we all perched on a bench next to a huge window where we can take in the view of our gorgeous "home". Our host cut up fresh fruit and put out a simple yet satisfying breakfast. We were sad to leave this wonderful place and if we come back to Gyeongju we will stay here.

the owner were very friendly, the place is clean and tidy, location is fantastic as it is next to the famous tomb and easy walking disttance to all places of interest, and lots of food places around. Witth floor heating, there is no feeling cold at night. I would stay in another hanok again if there is one that have a bed.

The owners are very nice and speak good English. I got there really early in the morning to explore and was able to get into my room right away. The location is great, it’s right next to the burial mounds and easily walking distance to many of the main historic sights as well as a whole street of restaurants. Parking would probably be an issue, I didn’t drive but there didn’t seem to be much around. The room was clean and well cared for with an attached bathroom. The WiFi was solid too. I recommend the place for anyone looking to see the area and have a traditional night’s stay.

The inn was located in an absolutely beautiful part of town, directly across from the main parks and attractions in town. We walked everywhere, and it was a fantastic base from which to see the tombs and parks! There is a ton to see and do here, and there are dozens of restaurants and cafes on the same street as this Hanok. The owner speaks completely fluent english, and the breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs, toast and coffee was perfect. The courtyard was a wonderful place to sit snd enjoy the sights too. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, for its ideal location, beautiful buildings, and friendly owners. My only gripe was that the bathroom slippers seemed old and could be replaced.

My husband and I had a pleasant stay at Happy Village Syeobul Guesthouse - and recommend it for anyone looking to get a Korean Hanok stay experience. It's conveniently located to major sites that we were able to walk from our room. Thank you to the lovely couple that runs the guesthouse for your hospitality!

The hotel was really cool and easy to find. The owner spoke English really well and was very helpful with whatever we needed. He was happy to recommend restaurants, tell us where things were, and was very friendly. If I come back to the city, I will try to book it again.

We thoroughly loved staying at this Guesthouse! It fits into the old city atmosphere of Gyeongju. The hosts have little English but work hard to make your stay comfortable. Sleeping on the floor on futons was quite comfortable and their beautiful quilts are cozy. Would certainly recommend this Guesthouse. Only issue was that it was difficult to find at first and the streets around the Guesthouse are narrow for driving.

Great location and good place to experience the traditional Korean lifestyle. However, the room cleanliness was poor. The place was noisy in the mornings so if you wish a relaxing vacation, that is not your place.

The host was nice. Breakfast is available from 8AM to 9PM. We had bread and fruit as our breakfast. The room is just a simple room with a refrigerator and bathroom.

It is a great place to stay to get a full Korean experience, rather than just the typical hotel. The staff was very friendly!! They even cut fresh fruits for you in the morning for breakfast! The room was much cleaner than I expected, and there were no bug problems!! I highly recommend this place! We had a very good experience!

Limited / weird location power point for charging mobile devices. Near a few of the many tombs, walking distance to some of the main sites.

It's a great location next to the tumulis (one of the big sights in Gyeongju). It is a quiet serene place. The rooms are traditional ondol-style but quite comfortable. The floors heat up nicely. The bathroom is small but serviceable and clean. The host/manager, Jonathan is helpful and efficient. We enjoyed our 3 nights here a lot.

Nice, new traditional hanok. The owner was quite nice (and spoke perfect English) and even offered us a second futon mattress to make the bed a bit more comfortable for those of us not used to sleeping on the floor. The hotel is across the street from and overlooks the Tumuli Park with ancient burial mounds. The room was small - as expected - but very clean and comfortable.

A bit difficult to find at the beginning. Once you know the place, you"ll find the hotel is at very good location, only a few steps to scenery spots. Excellent view. Owner is very helpful. Comfortable to stay.
