Our stay at Canareef was amazing and was better than I expected. The staff was always friendly and helpful The beach was clean and the water was so clear. Our villa was roomy and comfortable, the outdoor shower and jacuzzi were perfect! I would recommend anyone to stay at this resort. I would like to say thankyou to the staff for making this a memorable experience)

Overall, my partner and I arrived and left Canareef feeling a bit disappointed and underwhelmed. We paid for luxury but in reality what we paid for was mediocrity. We did enjoy our stay but wouldn’t return and probably wouldn’t recommend it for the price and what you get, we felt sure there are places that offer better value for money. There were definite positives, such as the friendliness and politeness of staff, beautiful weather, lovely lagoon, great pool and fabulous excursions.

Great accommodation and super nice staff. Beautiful resort. My only comment would be to state upfront the Green Tax and transfer charges which were a $1K surprise on checkout

I was unable to go to the property since since I tried to contact the property before my stay about a week in advance and did not receive any response until about 10hours before I was supposed to fly out. The response I received was an automated one that stated the hotel was closed . I only received this response after several attempts to contact the hotel. I have since then continued to try and contact the hotel with still no response. Expedia was also not helpful saying they could only offer me a refund if I got a hold of the hotel, even after I explained I haven’t been able t get a hold of the hotel for a week - week and a half and that the only response I did get was an automated one that stated they were close and that was the first time I was informed of that even though my flight was supposed to take off in less than 10 hours. Overall I am sure the property is nice ans it is good to know they value their employees and their customers safety but the lack of communication and ability to work with customers to reschedule or refund and notify them of the closure is absolutely horrible.

Rooms were very clean and facilities very nice in good condition. Customer service missing sometimes in the bars, pools or restaurants. For example, we asked them to restock pool towels 5 times in one day and it still never happened. Overall highly recommended!

Skip this place, they will suck every dime out of you. FRAUD, EXTORTION

Most spectacular service, perfect relaxing couples getaway. This is not a resort for people looking to have evening entertainment but if you're seeking relaxation & to enjoy each others company then this is certainly the place to find it. We were overwhelmed by the service & hospitality of every staff member...nothing is too much trouble & they go the extra mile every time...our best holiday experience 😊

We were particularly impressed with the staff from the moment we landed at Gan airport. It was clear that they wanted to make our visit special and they succeeded! We were celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary while staying there and they arranged for us to dine outside under the stars and decorated our dinner table with extra fresh flowers. They also, very unexpectedly produced a specially made wedding anniversary cake at the end of dinner and when we returned to our room they had decorated it too with flowers and a palm leaf written wedding anniversary message on the bed! It was so thoughtful and very touching and it was clear that they delighted in seeing their guests happy and having a good experience. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The beaches was beautiful clean and the buggy drivers always helpful and willing to drive you wherever you wanted to go on the island. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice of meals. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely resort, very close to a wonderful beach of white sand. just a few meters into the water you will find many colorful fishes. Or go diving to see even more undersea wonders. The staff are more than helpful and the food at the restaurants is delicious.

The staff at this resort cannot do enough to make your holiday a pleasure. As well as the pools, table-tennis, darts, pool, volley-ball tennis (plus the many opportunities for sun bathing), have a look at the excursions especially the lucky dolphin cruise. The reef snorkelling is an experience which will last in our memories for a life time, my wife is not a confident swimmer but the guide was helpful and reassured her so she saw an octopus, shark and turtles. Finally we would recommend going all-inclusive (we found it very hard to spend) and also going in August when it is very quiet and the staff cannot do enough.

Over princed for everything particularly for drinks - 55 USD for a standard bottle of wine once the service charges and tax is added on. Jacuzzi villa pretty and comfortable, though power sockets worked on and off. The staff try hard to be pleasant and helpful and they seemed to work excessive hours. Any activities are reliant on others signing up or they are canceled very much last minute. Main problem was the island is a long way from male and we were not told just how long it would take with the infrequent domestic flights. Upon arrival in male to arriving at the resort took 6 1/2 hours, leaving then took 8 hours! Also, beware of the bikes for hire- they are not serviced, the pedal fell off mine whilst using it!

Its really paradise. My family enjoyed their nice hospitality. Never seen such a friendly and educated staff. Safe and spectacular place. Jacuzzi Villa was great. We had a unique experience at Canareef resort. Must visit place.

It was my first time and long time dream to come to Maldives, even for such a short stay. I never expected the good weather, but it was very nice for 3 days out of 4.

The hotel was beatiful and rooms were amazing. However I often had to battle with lazy staff in order for them to help me with simple things or ask 3 times for the same simple thing which is very frustrating for example to chase up a bottle of water whilst on vacation. The staff in the restaurant were great and it's a shame the rest of the resort let's down the hotel.

Insgesamt war vieles (Villen, ein Restaurant, einzelne Bars) schon etwas älter und in die Jahre gekommen! Aber sauber und es gab sehr bequeme Betten! Ein Highlight wäre im Außenbereich zur Strandseite eine Outdoor-Dusche gewesen. Leider gab es einige kleine Tiere, die nichr so schön waren. Das Hotel hat freundlich und zuvorkommend reagiert. Insgesamt war der Service gut für die Hotelkategorie und die Preisklasse. Die Insel ist sehr groß, dadurch entstehen lange Wege - das hat Vorteile und Nachteile. Die Anreise ins Canareef ist sehr lang!

Das Servicepersonal ist absolut top. Das Management dagegen nicht so. Katzen im Speisesaal geht gar nicht. Auch nach Tagen und Ausreden keine Besserung. Keine Getränke im All inclusive Zimmer!!!! Nur auf Zuzahlung!!!!! Das geht gar nicht!!! Wege zum Restaurant sehr weit und tlw. nur mit Wagen zu erreichen. Diese brauchen tlw. mehr als 20 Min. Aber alles andere ist sehr gut. Schöner Strand, sehr freundliches Servicepersonal. Sehr schönes und sauberes Zimmer. Alles in allem 3***
