Hotel Diamond is our go-to spot when visiting our son in Chico. It has a friendly staff, lots of character, and unique rooms.

The toilet need to be replaced, they are old low flow toilet installed in the early 90’s and clog easily. Newer low flow toilets operate better, it embarrassing to call down to the front desk for assistance. I have been staying at the Diamond sense they opened and this is a recurring issue.

I had to request a change for my room. I was given a room on the 4th floor looking toward the garage. The a/c units were so noisy all night long even though I had earplugs. Definitely would request a room on a lower floor on the other side of the building where it is so much quieter! Breakfast included was ok. Nothing special. Liked the victorian decor and vintage photos in the halls.

Just what we were looking for

It’s a refurbished old building. A great find in the middle of downtown Chico. Comfortable room and bedding. Great omelet breakfast opportunity. Courteous and attentive staff. No complaints. Didn’t have a car so can’t opine on parking.

No gym facilities.

Great location downtown.

First time there. We will be back
