The room was spacious. Beds were comfortable. Windows can be opened form outside and as there is no grill/net in some windows any one can enter into the room any time. The owner is a very nice person and he helped us in need. One of the hotel staff drove us for sightseeing in his own car on hire. This travel experience is terrible. AC did not work and it was too hot, horn did not sound, the car goes off suddenly and after repeated attempt it starts again.

My partner and I stayed at Govind hotel over Christmas and it was one of the highlights of our trip. I booked the hotel after reading great reviews about the owner Jaggi and his son and they did not disappoint. Jaggi is extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming and was even able to hold our room and accommodate for us after we had to cancel a day last minute due to delays in plans. The hotel itself is located right near the train station so perfect for those travelling by train. It is also located on a strip of shops and only a 15 minute walk or short tuk tuk ride to the main city centre, so it is away from the hustle and bustle of the main city. The rooms are colourful and have a unique character to them, especially the courtyard/rooftop restaurant which has an amazing view of the fort. The rooms were clean with towels/toilet paper provided and there is wifi hot water in the morning and night. The only downside is that it can get noisy particularly at night due to the train or other guests in the hallway so if you are a light sleeper wear earplugs otherwise we had no issues. I also want to make special mention to Jaggis son who cooks at the rooftop restaurant upstairs- we didn’t eat anywhere else our whole time in jodhpur! The food is all made fresh and is absolutely beautiful. Some of our favourites were the pineapple lassi, paneer tikka pizza and the continental breakfast. Great hotel with friendly staff for an affordable price!

Great owners and great location. They go out of their way to make your stay a good one. The hotel has been going for a long time and deserves its positive reviews. Some aspects are, understandably, a little dated now. Wifi and hot water, for example, could be a little intermittent, but that didn't spoil our stay. The pleasure talking to the staff, the convenient location and the benefit of a great rooftop restaurant made for an overall lovely stay.

I stayed here for 2 nights and for the price the hotel was totally fine. The room whilst dates was clean and although the hot water is only available twice a day, it is hit. The staff are very helpful and booked my bus ticket for me. I also ate twice at the roof top restaurant which was good.

I booked this hotel for my father in law to stay overnight who came to drop my mother in law to railway station for a train late in night. This hotel worked perfect for them as it is walking distance from railway station. Good hotel in good price. Booking process was quick and easy.

Incredibly hospitable hotel. Jaggi runs the hotel and his son cooks (perfect food!). The super deluxe suite is spacious and well kept. While the bathroom has a typical non-contained shower, the water is hot from 7-10am and 7-9pm as advised on arrival (it is helpful to know such things!). Wifi is perfect - no connection issues. View of the mighty fort from the hotel terrace is a bonus. I prefer to take a rickshaw to the fort and be walking distance to the railway station. Highly recommended for reasonable accommodation - probably the best in its price range considering the friendly hospitality, nice rooms, great food and great terrace for breakfast and dinner.

This place is lovely! The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooftop cafe is a real gem. The location is great and all of this comes at a very affordable price. I wish the wifi were better and the toilet/washing facilities were improved - those are my only complaints.

I stayed here 2 nights. It has a good location close to the train station and I was happy with the price I paid for the dormitory room (big lockers included for added security.) Unfortunately, the wifi does not work downstairs. I can imagine the noise from the road would bother some guests. I think the best part about this hotel are the friendly owners.

This place is only for those catching an early morning train. It is filthy, there was construction noise going on in the hotel until 1.30 am, recommencing at 0445 am. There was a strong smell of petrol right outside our room door and the air con didn't really work. As female travellers I didn't feel safe here, also there was a leak in the bathroom

The Govind hotel is walking distance from Jodhpur Railway Station and very easy to locate. The hotel offers some of the best value for money in Jodhpur. We stayed in a room with a fan and no air conditioner and found it very comfortable - even in the March/April heat. The staff of Govind Hotel were so accomodating that we stayed here twice. They even ended upgrading us to nicer room on our second stay which was very much appreciated after arriving on the late train from Jaisalmer. The rooftop restaurant is decent enough and well priced but for a more atmospheric experience it's better to go into the blue city. The hotel isn't very close to the Clocktower but we walked it once or twice without issue and it's only a short tuk tuk ride.

The ceiling of my room was dripping all night and it was obvious that this was not new. The owner insisted on taking my photo on arrival and said this was mandatory all over India - absolute nonsense! My 6th trip to India and I've never had to submit to this before. Risk of identity theft since he also had my passport? Hmmm! Located close to train station. The rooftop restaurant was great for breakfast and served the best chai in India. Otherwise, nothing positive to say.

A budget room close to railway station. My needs were mostly met and bed was comfortable. A big plus was Jaggi's Coffee cafe with excellent choice of filtered, esspresso, and cappucino.

Very friendly staff. The owner is really very nice. our room was at the back, so it was quit OK. But avoid room facing the street: it's horribly noisy, like many other place in India. the roof top restaurant is pleasant and the food very good.
