Apsara staff very service-oriented. Location is great for proximity to restaurants and shopping. The hotel restaurant is situated in a nice quiet courtyard with THE best dal in town.

The staff was exceptionally Friendly, considerate, And went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast buffet was well provisioned and offered a good variety and selection of food. The location is great for being in the center of the Thamel shopping district. However, be prepared for a lot of noise pretty much all night long. As for the Mountain View, I only wish it looked like the advertised picture.

Just OK. Shared balcony with staffs and not private balcony. Room kinda need to repaint. Foul smell from hotel toilet due to their water system.

It was a neat a tidy hotel. The room was in good order however we had an issue with a clogged shower drain as well as we were told we get a free coffee with breakfast but were charged for it anyways upon checkout. The bathroom at the restaurant also was in a somewhat questionable condition in the evening. Overall it was a pleasant property with nothing to be concerned about.

The hotel is great. Happy helpful staff and location is very convenient. They’re storing my bag while I go trekking and when my flight to the mountains was cancelled yesterday they found me another room. I’ve been in three rooms . They have been comfortable and clean. My first room had a small cleaning problem which was sorted .. and that’s a lot to say as I am a clean freak. The breakfasts are lovely with a very wide choice .

The hotel was lovely, as was the room, & there was a nice restaurant w/excellent pizza across the courtyard. I did have one issue w/the hotel that still has me fuming. We booked 2 rooms (for 4 nights ea) several months prior to arrival. Friends traveling with us also booked 4-nights, but only a month or so before arrival. When we reached the hotel, they were checked into a room; when it came our turn, we were asked to take a seat. A hotel employee (assist manager??) came over & began to chat us up. Next thing we know, he's saying there's a slight problem with the electricity & A/C; he said we could have a room next door in their sister hotel for 1 night, he promised it would all be fixed by the AM, then we could move back to the main hotel. We followed him next door; both the hotel & the rooms were a few grades lower in quality. I questioned why our friends got checked in, even though we had booked months before them. I also questioned why the lights & A/C in the lobby were working fine. He had no answer so I asked to speak to the manager. When we returned to the hotel, I was quite irritated to see other guests being checked in (what happened to the electricity & A/C probs?). He spoke w/the manager & lo and behold we had our rooms -- what happened to the probs? Clearly, they had overbooked & were trying to palm us off into a cheaper room. If he had said that upfront I might have understood, but the fact that he was BLATANTLY lying to us left a very bad taste in our mouths!!!

Fabulous place to stay in Thamel! Would recommend to anyone- great price, great location, and big clean rooms. We stayed in a family room for 4 which was amazing with hand painted wooden beams. A short walk for Thamel Marketplace. Downstairs very cheap beer and good foods! Highly recommended, Thanks for the stay!

THE place to stay in Thamel for a nice & peaceful, clean, friendly, welcoming stay in a bustling city. This is our Go to place on our way to trekking the Majestic Himalayas. The staff and the service can not be beat in this little boutique hotel.

Hotel had free pick-up. Since our flight was delayed (mind you, majority of flights arrive late in Kathmandu), the driver held the name card and trying to find another car/van to drop us to hotel, because he had other guests to receive. We had to wait for 20 mins on road with our luggage and kid in the chilling weather till he found a driver to drop us. That was not well organized at all. Well the hotel was good with comfortable beds and clean rooms. The breakfast spread was minimal and good with choice of western spread and 1 Asian dish. The waiters were very courteous and attentive. We enjoyed the stay there.

My stay at Apsara was a good value for the money. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was average although not much variety day-to-day. The room was nice overall - bed was comfortable, bathroom clean, and the water always hot. Wi-fi coverage was poor, the room didn't have a fireplace as stated in the booking information, nor was there a bathtub. When I asked these were not available. A room on the upper floors is nice to minimize the noise of busy Kathmandu.
