Great staff and excellent value for the price. This only the neighborhood is gritty and interesting. Don’t miss it.

Does not compare to the info and pictures on this website. We had to book somewhere on arrival as my wife would not stay there. We were told that the hotel not being nice enough was insufficient grounds for a refund.

It didn't look great from outside but i was pleasantly surprised once i got in.very pleasant and helpful staff i would definitely stay again.

This is an excellent, basic hotel/B&B. I was there for three nights and I had full maid service every day without asking. That is very unusual in my opinion. The A/C and water pressure and temperature are very good. The bed mattress is firm. The breakfast is basic but fine. The neighborhood is not bad, but it’s not the center where you likely want to be. Fortunately, Valencia has an outstanding public transportation system, which made it very easy for me to get wherever I wanted. I would note it’s a big city and it often takes more than 10 minutes to get places.

The hostal is very near the beach, well connected to the city Center. The hostess was so helpfull and the atmosphere of he hostal is so cozy. Theres is a kebab's place just downstairs and a minisupermarket at the next block.Valencia is such a Beauty city !! It is whorthseeing !!

Staff were helpful. Breakfast was great and it was right by the Sea which made it very easy to go often to the beach.

Location was good close to the marina and beach. I was glad it had an elevator. Vending machine available. My room was close to the reception are. Walls thin that picked noise with their conversations. The room was very tiny. No space to open my suitcase. I had to use half of my bed to open it. Shower had no soap tray. Only a shower gel dispenser. The room had mosquitos and I was bitten several times. The hotel attendant used insect spray but the insects still appeared. They did their best to accommodate the situation. Daily housekeeping was OK. I chose to tidy my room. The flooring was torn, and flooring was very soft (a sinking feeling) also wood chips were visible and curtains were old. The Expedia site showed hostal as nice rooms but the photos very misleading so the nightly rate was overpriced in my opinion. The breakfast was included in the price but selections very minimal. More like continental servings. I did like the coffee and tea selections. The start time 8:30 -11 for breakfast after 30 minutes the fruit was gone and staff did not replenish the selection. The breads were nice and cereal too. If you are looking for budget travel at a this hostal I would go elsewhere.

The hostal had friendly staff . The room was a three bed with bath but the square footage was small and on Expedia it was listed for 269sq ft . It was no where near that size maybe update the listing with the room size choice as it was misleading. We did see a roach in the stairwell. However the property area was in a location that at night had a few homeless people arguing and the cops were called to the scene . It’s a good walk to the trams and beaches. During the day different outside vibe than at night .

Kind staff and location may be good for many. This aea is near beaches, and somewhat bohemian. Did have a cockroach.

The location of this hotel was good, within walking distance to the port and a slightly longer walk to the beach. The hotel itself is small, with only a few rooms. Check in was easy, and the hotel staff gave me a key for the front door and a code to get past another door (if coming in past 11 pm). The room itself was clean and had enough space for a small suitcase, which was fine for me. It only had a few outlets and the bathroom was a little on the smaller/tight side. The a/c worked fine for me, and I was glad to have it. The bed was a little firmer than I am used to, but it was okay for a few nights. The small continental-style breakfast (bread/some fruit and coffee) was a bonus. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Exceptionally convenient and functional location. Excellent level of service. Very clean and cozy. The only inconvenience for families with small children is the noisy street. It did not bother us, but it is worth remembering. An additional option is a light breakfast included in the price. We would really like to come back!)))

I was skeptical in booking a Hostel for the first time but I loved the location and the place. The staff were professional and friendly. I only got to interact with Lorena. She was super helpful. Great place to book for solo travelers. if you going to sightsee the whole morning through the evening. 1. The hostel is close to transportation and bike rentals. 2. The beach is an 18mins walk or 5mins bike ride. You also have many restaurants by the beach. you might need a reservation if the restaurant is busy. Tip: The restaurants will close from 5pm-8pm but you might find some bars open around hidden corner around the Hostel such as Argentinian place call “Fuego y Pasión, Bar restaurant Andres or StoneCastle Brewery S.L. La Fábrica de Cerveza“ I would recommend this hostel if you just need a place to sleep after a long day sightseeing the center of València. In addition the hostel is easy to get from the airport. You don’t need to take a taxi. You just take the metro (train) from the airport and walk to the hostel if you only have a carrying on luggage. (Just use your Google map if you don’t mind using your phone provider )

Very solid hotel with decent amenities, comfy bed, free breakfast, and great location, thats overall a good value. However, be warned the wifi is terrible and did not work at all (in our room at least) and the walls are thin so if you have loud neighbors who like to yell or slam doors early on the morning then be prepared to deal with that

The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was very pleasant and comfortable and clean. The breakfast room is very pleasant, and I very much appreciated our being able to have afternoon coffee/snack right there. Thank you!!

Very friendly and helpful staff and the hostel is in a great location. Only issues are the walls must be thin as we could hear our neighbours conversation like they were in our room and we were situated by reception, which is clearly a busy area. Definitely a great place to stay, just get a room on a higher floor.

We really enjoyed our stay at Balcon Al Mar. Staff were friendly and helpful, the location is great - 5 min walk from a tram stop and 15 min walk to beach. The rooms are fairly basic but very clean and comfortable - the mattress was very comfy! Air conditioning is brilliant and wifi was free and reliable. The shower worked well which is always important for me! For a more budget place this was amazing, all the things that were important to me were great and would stay here again.

Great location, close to marina and beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only negative was the loud noise from the maintenance work upstairs.
