The staff and the grounds were lovley. Spa was excellent. The rooms in hotel however were probably worst Ive been in my whole life. Rooms appear to have been decorated around 30 years ago. Bathroom felt so dirty that it was hard to use. Insects were running around the bathroom. Inexcusable. If you cant keep a bedroom in hotel clean and modern its probably best to close it. Cleaners clearly did their best with what are very run down guest rooms. Its a shame as surroundings staff and spa were excellent.

Everywhere looked clean and appeared to be well maintained throughout. All the staff we dealt with were very polite and friendly.

Lovely hotel lovely grounds and surroundings. Beautiful building, very polite and professional staff who couldn't do enough for you. Excellent food, dinner and breakfast . Leisure centre is brilliant with well equipped gymn and lovely swimming pool with fantastic health suite. We had a suite room and it was furnished lovely, very spacious and very peaceful. There was not one bad point or area I could suggest an improvement with this hotel. It's fantastic.

Staff were lovely, the hotel is gorgeous, my only qualm is the breakfast sausages were not good but everything else spot on.

No working EV chargers …. No sky sports tv in the bar .. I was also located in an annex of the hotel which was not connected to the hotel!

We only use the accommodation to sleep as we left early each more and was back late each night but the beds were comfortable

The bathroom in the room was very scruffy/dirty looking. Everywhere else was a good srandard.

Leaking heating system that couldn’t heat the room properly. Old Fashioned menu stocked in small quantity. Typical Best Western, too few staff, trying their best (sometimes) to do the impossible & management not listening, we heard!

Very relaxing stay,lovely food .great spa treatment,would return in future.

Had to check out early as both myself and daughter felt ill after eating at the restaurant weekend was cut short. Never happened before on other stays here. Only negative other then this everything good.

Great rooms, looked refurbished, vegan options for dinner, and buffet breakfast offered plenty of choice.

Menu a little vague not much choice.

We have stayed here a few times now. The redecorated rooms are absolutely lovely. The staff, so polite. The spa, perfect for some down time. Highly recommended. The only thing I would change, is the menu. It would be nice to see more fine dining menu, rather than a typical pub meal. Although, the food was very nice. A perfect cooked steak. Thank you for your hospitality

Lovely stay, great staff - especially breakfast ladies

Room was very spacious and clean. Very insulated and warm. The reception was stunning as we came in, the Christmas decorations are beautiful. The grounds are equally beautiful. Breakfast had a nice selection and staff were very friendly.

Easy to find on a main road. Entrance well signpoted even in a heavy storm. Check in formal and polite, on check in asked for a table for dinner options very limited from receptionist making the excuse of a wedding. We rushed to get to dinner, we still waited almost an hour for starters to arrive, we could have had a bit more time to get ready. Food was perfect when it arrived sort of worth the wait. Both starters and main. Breakfast food was good, the staff member greting us was impersonal to say the least. Quality was ok. Room was nicely presented but had an electric stand alone heater, it took an age to warm the room. The bay seating area was a little dysfunctional. We wanted to use the pool but as we could not in the evening looked at the morning the pool was not available until after check out.

Lovely place. The food was lovely, the room spacious and comfortable and the swimming pool fantastic. The staff at both the spa and hotel were great. Will definitely stay here again.

A perfect stopover ahead of a busy work day

The rooms were excellent, beds and the amenities were great. The hotel reception staff were fantastic and very friendly. Only downsides were that the sink was clogging from the start in our en suite sink and the restaurant staff were rather rude. We went to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast the next day. During dinner we had the sit extremely long for our drinks and even longer for our food. The mocktails we were given were very small even though the staff blamed our long wait time on these mocktails! Breakfast isn’t worth the £10 as the food is stale and lukewarm.

Wow, great room, great staff, you genuinely felt welcomed and valued. Spa is great as well... All told a wonderful stay and I would recommend the hotel to anyone :-)
