Long story short. I was offered an upgrade by Nicole and then she couldn't accommodate the entire stay. I still agreed to check out mid stay and check back into another room. Turns out the upgraded room didn't have a spectacular view like it shows online nor did it have a terrace like I previously booked. I could not get my money back unless I sent an email to accounting, which she failed to tell me. Due to what happened on Sunday Feb. 22nd, we decided to cut our trip short. I explained to Carolina that I needed a check-out date for Friday but since I would be leaving Thursday evening, I needed my money on Wednesday. Once again, I had to send an email about getting my money back. They ended up changing the check-out date to Thursday morning. And Nicole wouldn't extend the check-out date to Friday. She said I had to make a reservation myself on the website for Thursday. It wasn't worth $250 usd and we left Thursday morning. All the inconveniences they made me go through was just not worth the headache. The food and drinks at the restaurant were good although the menu isn't extensive. The personnel there were great. Housekeeping isn't the worse, but they definitely need improvement. The receptionists lack customer service skills and the manager, managerial skills. The overall service and establishment don't par with Hilton. I wouldn't stay there again unless they got rid of their current employees. I have since read the reviews and management hasn't done anything about their front desk clerks. They act superior to the guest and don't care in the most minimalist way to help the customer out. Also, at no time did the hotel staff reach out to the guests to let them know the city had been declared code red and what that meant. My husband was told by an outside vendor that he needed to go back to his hotel because it wasn't safe outside. So once again, never doing business with this establishment.

Overall the stay was very good. The rooms are very small without a dresser drawer and although 2 small bottle of drinking water were left in the room daily, they are $40 Pesos each if you want more (about $2,30 USD) about 12 ounces. The water in the hotel faucets cannot be used for brushing your teeth, so it was a little challenging. Coffee maker in the room is helpful as was the mini refrigerator, but no microwave. Housekeeping did an excellent job of freshening up the room each day,

🏨 A true five-star experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Guadalajara Centro Histórico. The hotel is perfectly located right in the heart of the city, making it ideal for exploring the historic center while enjoying a romantic and refined atmosphere. Everything felt special from the moment we arrived, but the breakfast buffet was truly unforgettable—worth every peso for the breathtaking panoramic view that turns a simple meal into a magical experience. It honestly felt like a dream come true. And the beds—absolutely exceptional. This is exactly why I love Hilton beds and pillows: incredibly comfortable and restful, making it hard to leave the room. An outstanding stay that I would gladly repeat.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a very positive experience with this hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. When we realized the hotel was right next to what would be a loud, several hours concert, we asked to be put in an inside room. It was small, but clean and most importantly - quiet. The staff was helpful with our luggage, getting a taxi to a bus station, and offering advice and tips when asked. Contrary to other reviews, we found this to be a perfectly lovely and acceptable hotel stay.

Terrible experience. This run down hotel is in a sketchy, unsafe area. A parking is about a block away and closes at 10 pm. The valet is hard to find and we were warned of a 40 minute wait for our car. The first floor is boarded up and looks ready for demolition. The plumbing is outdated and barely usable. Day one we had no water pressure. The front desk coldly told us to wait five minutes, which we could not do. Day two we lacked hot water. This should NOT be a Hilton hotel. The food is only okay. The breakfast buffet was lukewarm. Avoid! Eschew!
