It's a bed and breakfast. And the rooms are quite rudementary, the sound insulation so and so, and the cleanliness of the communal toilets and showers vary. But the price is good, the location excellent, and the breakfast exemplary. So all in all, we give it five stars. And will stay there again when we visit Mariefred.

Mycket trevligt boende! Naturnära och rikt på historia. Supergod frukost inne på värdshuset!!

Bilväg från incheckning till boendet. Svårt hitta rätt hus och parkering. Puttesmå rum, lyhört och dusch m wc i korridor. Gsrdiner o rullgardin mörklade inte effektiv. Dålig ventilation. Alldeles för dyrt för vandrarhemsstandard... Man får riktigt hotell för samma eller mindre!

Loved staying here, it felt like a posh youth hostel, we never had to wait to use the bathroom and while it was basic, everything was clean and comfortable. Lovely location, breakfast was in a hotel run by the same people in the town which was a 5 min walk away but not a problem at all, the breakfast itself was great (lots of vegan options) and the staff were so friendly.

Clean but very small rooms. Almost no space to walk around bed. God breakfast 15 min walk from room.

Very Pictureque and cosy building, environment and excursions by boat and train.. Would have liked quiet breakfast room or, if necessary, classical music at a very low sound-level. Dinner and breakfast tasted lovely!

The breakfast was on the other hotel. It was insufficient breakfast with no fruits. There are no staffs om air bnb. The air circulation was bad in the room so even in the cool summer, it was warm. The good side, the kitchen is fully equipped. Locations is good too. Near to hjorthagen Natural park mso beautiful. Bed is not comfortable

awesome location in a beautiful town, clean, comfortable. Only downside is the shared bathrooms / showers. A bit hard when you are there for a race and everyone wants to take a shower at the same time. Other than that, it was good!

Very friendly staff. Breakfast is served at the Inn in town, about 1 km away. I'm glad it wasn't raining as we were on foot.

We enjoyed staying at the Gripsholms Bed and Breakfast. While the room are not large you do have a sink with a mirror and some closet space. The bed was comfortable. The shared bathrooms in the hallway were always clean. There was a nice kitchen/sitting area at the end of the hall with a small sitting area facing the lake where you could enjoy the views. Mariefred is a quaint little town on Lake Malaren. We were in walking distance of the Gripsholm Castle and enjoyed walking through it. We were able to park our rental car at no additional charge. The breakfast was a short walk to the main hotel site, where you check in, Hotel Gripsholms Vardshus, Mariefred. It was a delicious breakfast . We traveled by car to charming towns close by such as Strangnas and Trosa.

Nice B&B - but more like hostel. Breakfast and reception in Gripsholm Inn - 10-15 minut from B&B - for us it was a pleasure - nice walk before breakfast. This kind of accommodation is very swedish! I recomend, especially it was cheap!

We stayed one night in a family room (one double bed, two bunk beds) with our two children. The rooms are quite basic and a little small, but sufficient. There is a sink in each room and the toilets and showers are shared (but clean and relatively plentiful). There is also a relatively well-equipped kitchen where one can prepare lunch or dinner. Breakfast is served in the same (much fancier) hotel where one checks in for the B&B, about a ten minute walk past the castle and through a park. The breakfast was delicious, and a nice little bonus for an otherwise very basic accommodation. Mariefred is a beautiful town right on the lake, with a lovely old castle and a historic narrow gauge railway. A fabulous place to visit, especially with little kids. We would have happily stayed here another night or two. Overall, I would recommend this place for someone looking for a more affordable, but still very comfortable, option in Mariefred.

Fin miljö, grönområden, nära slott och centrum. Incheck lite omständligt då det sker på värdshuset inne i stan. Frukosten, också på värdshuset, var mycket bra. Rummet var litet, men bra. Rätt lyhört
