Is the Cypress Lodge at Bass Pro really worth it? NO! Beware of all the hidden fees, including parking (which at first would have not been a charge since it’s the store’s customer parking area). The place is beautiful & charming but in a busy city, near the railroad. Upon arriving to the room, it was left wide open for anyone to access. The restroom trash can was left on the sink in the bathroom, the cleanliness of a hotel room for this price was poor. The outdoor balcony was filthy, dirt and debris left on the patio furniture. The AC did not cool, even though we set it to 65 degrees. We opened the door for fresh air to circulate, the noise of traffic and the train late night and early morning was a nuisance. The railway is next door not down the street (No such thing as a peaceful night sleep at this location) During our deep sleep we were disturbed by a clicking noise coming from the fireplace. In total honesty, $468 a night for a queen bedroom was not worth it. (Not even for the “bass pro hotel” experience) With that said we were told it would be $340 for the night and were never told about all the additional fees. Visit, shop the store, but don’t stay the night here!!!

My stay at this hotel was bravissimo! I stayed here with my friends (they think they’re my friends, but their moms pay me), and we had a wonderful time. The room was clean and had many amenities, and the store is incredible. Special shout-out to my homie Alisha at the front desk. Someone get that woman a raise! Great conversation starter. Would’ve been 4.5 stars if it wasn’t for Alisha. Great location and the Grizzlies won which is sick. Can’t wait to have my honeymoon here one day😎

From start to finish, the team at Big Cypress Lodge in Memphis went above and beyond to make our event absolutely perfect. Every detail was handled with care and precision, creating an experience that exceeded all expectations. The Chef’s culinary skills were nothing short of extraordinary – every dish was a masterpiece, both in flavour and presentation. Our guests are still raving about the food! A special mention to Wendolyn, the banquet coordinator – truly top-notch. I have never worked with a coordinator so hands-on and attentive. She anticipated our needs before we even voiced them, ensuring everything ran seamlessly. From valet and bell staff to the front desk team, the service was impeccable. Every interaction reflected genuine hospitality and professionalism. If you’re looking for a memorable venue with exceptional service, outstanding cuisine, and a team that truly cares, Big Cypress Lodge is the place. They turned our event into an unforgettable experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended!

Wish I could leave zero stars. Made reservations 6 months in advance and was reassured by the call center (at big cedar lodge in a completely different state Missouri) that all the amenities would be open on Christmas day. I didnt trust the call line knew what they were talking about so i emailed and someone called me back a few days later to confirm that, yes, everything would indeed be open. drove 8 hours on christmas to find EVERYTHING was closed. Literally ruined our family’s Christmas. Thank god we can aford to vacation and wait 5-10 days for the refund. Why was the room the regular rate if there were NO AMENITIES?!!!! No store, no restaurant, no bowling alley and no elevator but 400 dollars to stay there?! What a joke! Happily staying down the street at the TRU by hilton, that has a pool and free breakfast and comfy beds so id highly recommend you stay there instead of big cypress.

Big Cypress Lodge in Memphis has won my heart and has my vote for one of my all time favorite places to stay! From the moment we arrived, everyone made us feel incredibly welcome! We arrived very early in the morning prior to our rooms being available. They were able to safely stow our bags, point us in the direction of Wahlburgers for lunch then guided us through the app to call their complimentary shuttle to take us to Beale Street! I booked two rooms for 5 people, and I specifically requested ones with balconies overlooking the pro shop. We were even lucky to get the rooms next to each other. and they were stunning!! Gorgeous finishes, efficient layout, and a super cozy, warm feel. The beds were so comfortable I didn’t want to leave! The fireplace stayed on most the night and was pure magic. This was definitely the rest and relaxation we were in need of especially after a long morning flying! One of my favorite features was the bathroom. The luxurious soaking tub even had shadows of branches swirling across the bottom. A nice little nature’s touch that felt so serene same with the tree in the bathroom-I loved it!! The layout was perfect for our girls’ weekend. We got to maintain our privacy without losing the feeling of sharing the space and fun. I was also so thankful and thrilled by the thoughtful extras. A complimentary snack basket was waiting for us in our room. It was a really nice touch. The free shuttle service was perfect too! The effortless transport made the trip extra enjoyable! I was in awe of the 3rd floor den and bar seating area between the rooms and elevator. Loved the leather chesterfield sofas, uniquely carved wooden tables, warm lighting, and the rustic lodge charm everywhere. It felt both grand and homey. (I could go on forever about how beautiful those design details are!) Also worth noting they have complimentary coffee served and board games set up to play too. Big Cypress is a perfect blend of rustic elegance, comfort, and thoughtful touches. It made for a perfect girls birthday weekend we will never forget!
