Great location excellent staff. Only issue was the lift always stops on the second floor even if no one is going there and the card has been used

Moderate Double Room on 8th floor. Reasonable size for a couple. Bed against the wall which was a little inconvenient. Small (too shallow) safe in drawer. Nice bathroom. 8th floor room at rear had a view of the wooded hill and a glimpse of a few castle buildings. Annex entirely non-smoking except for a smoking room on the 2nd floor. Excellent WiFi speed. Clean. 2 washer dryers: wash and dry 3kg load in 2 hours Y600. Staff were very helpful with a little English language skill. Great location on tram line, a short ride to Dogo Onsen, just at the north end of “downtown” Matsuyama, and just south of the castle (walking distance.)

Overall a good stay at Daiwa Roynet Matsuyama. Location is fantastic, trams a short walk and so many food options nearby. Hotel room was a little tired looking and the bed was way too firm for my liking but otherwise clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent.

Wonderful and quiet hotel, near Okaido stop, so easy for Airport bus and close to shops.

Good modern business hotel at a decent price. Room was a decent size, bathroom was very nice with a bath and both overhead and hose shower. Well situated within walking distance to the castle and very close to the main shopping arcade and tram stop to the Onsen.

Super convenient spot, and the amenities were fantastic as well as the staff.

the sink in my room was not draining properly. I reported to the front desk. The staff came to my room and tried to fix it, but it was unsuccessful. The hotel did not provide any solution or compensation. Apology was made, but no compensation was made. As a hotel operator, you are suppose to provide full services, including the sink. If you are not able to fix the problem, you are expected to provide some kind of compensation.

I really enjoyed my one night stay here. The check in staff were very helpful and we had a very pleasant twin room. You select the amenities you want for the room in the lobby- there’s no wastage. The walk to the local shopping street and cable car to the castle on the hill is easy. And there is a tram over the way which we used to get to the Dogo Onsen. The room was fastidiously clean (as most of Japan is) and quiet. Great choice in Matsuyama.

This property is a good value for the price. Would recommend getting a larger size room. Location is very good proximity to Matsuyama Castle.

The hotel most convenient to shopping, sightseeing, train stops, and dining. The room and bathroom are very clean. Easy to parking. The staff are very friendly and professional. I must stay here again.

The staff was very kind and friendly, except they charge for for the early check in before 2 PM. The breakfast was excellent.

Friendly staff good location!

I’m a frequent visitor to Matsuyama and this is my go-to hotel. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms. Tram stop is close to the front door with a lot of food and shopping options nearby.

시내 상점가랑 너무 가깝고 바로 전차를 볼수있는 위치에 있어서 밤에 창문에서 보는 풍경이 너무 좋았습니다. 위치도 좋고, 방도 깨끗하고, 직원분들 너무 친절하고 조식또한 맛이있어서 좋은 여행이었습니다.

Staff went out of the way to resolve the issue of a cockroach in our room (they moved us to another room without hesitation). It’s well located, close to the castle and shopping, as well as being on a major boulevard with tram connections to Dogo Onsen and JR stations. Breakfast is average, but likely not in the hotel’s direct control (it’s in a separate property.
