Moments from the beach and great value for money

Location

While the chief asset of this hotel is its closeness to the beach, it has a number of unattractive features. For one thing it only offers the bare minimum (e.g. no shampoo but just a tiny tube of body lotion; no hair dryer; old and sparse furniture, tiny TV, just a small waste basket in the bathroom but none in the main room, no chair in the room, no drawers or closed spaces for clothing, questionable cleanliness especially in common spaces, etc). The parking is located far away from the hotel. On the other hand, the staff is friendly and reasonably helpful.

Lovely owners and very friendly staff. The hotel was right on the beach and very well situated. However, even out of season a little noisy from other tourists who liked to talk through most of the night and there is an issue trying to get on the local beach (many tourists put their towels out really early and save spaces even though they are not using)! The rooms were of a reasonable size and we had a lovely sea view. Rooms could be a bit cleaner e.g. our sheets were not changed during the week stay but they did change the towels everyday if you needed. This is a reasonable hotel for the price and the owners and staff are very helpful. My only other comment is that I am a regular traveller to Greece and this resort had lost it's Greek charm.

Ήτανε πάρα πολύ ορεα στο Marabou. Ολα τέλια. Τα λέμε το χειμώνα στην Θεσσαλονίκη.

I think i was the first after the winter break, because the room smelled a bit stuffy and the fridge wasnt on and had to call someone to get the shower to work. But the room was clean and location is super!

Personale ospitale, pulito, comodo e con ottime ciambelle

Als wir im Hotel ankamen, gab es von 3 gebuchten Zimmern kein einziges freies Zimmer für uns!!! Wir waren mit einem 8 Monate altem Baby unterwegs und mussten den ganzen Tag auf der Strasse warten, bis die Hoteleigentümerin endlich begriffen hat, dass sie uns nicht einfach so loswerden kann. Ihrer Meinung nach sollten wir einfach ein anderes Hotel buchen! Nie wieder buche ich in diesem „Hotel“. Eine reine Katastrophe und katastrophale Umstände in den Zimmern!!!

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel a conduzione familiare per 15 giorni.....e ci siamo sentiti come a casa. La struttura andrebbe un po ripulita.....le camere sono piccoline,ma tutte dotate di TV, aria condizionata e balconi vista mare...la nostra aveva una vista fantastica e solo questo ci ha fatto dimenticare tutti gli altri servizi assenti.asciugamani e lenzuola vengono cambiati tutti i giorni.l hotel dispone di una spiaggia privata e un bar dove si può fare colazione con le ciambelle più buone della città al costo di 1 euro!!!!!Se non avete tante pretese ma amate come me addormentarsi e svegliarsi con il rumore del mare allora questo è il posto che fa per voi!!!!!economico famigliare e con un ottima posizione.

Hotel marabou is a great hotel in the absolut heart of Pefkohori with the most friendly and service minded owners I have ever met, for example, we arrived early at 10am and got our room immediately. A great room, super nice and soft beds (not common in Greece where all beds are like sleeping on a stone floor) and a small balcony with amazing view of the sea, a fridge and slipper, towels, shampoo etc. The hotel is just by the beach and has it´s own beach bar with sun beds just for the guests of the hotel. I think that if you compare Hotel Marabou with other two star hotels in Halkidiki this is more a three star and great value for the money. Pefkohori is also the place to be if you don't want a quiet vacation since there are many excellent restaurants and bars in the area, as well as bigger nightclubs just 20min away. We were happy just walking around in the area at night having cocktails and enjoying the great greek food <3
