We loved our stay at Kings Waldon. We wish Marike and Hannes all the best in all their endeavors. Walter and team were helpful and friendly. The views are magnificent, the gardens quite stunning. Our room was extremely comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and dinners were good too.

The new owners are very nice and helpful. Food was great, and the views are amazing! Wish we could have had more time there but we only had one night

Stayed at Kings Waldon 25/26th April 2021. The stay was excellent, the room spacious and well appointed, the food home cooked, well presented and very tasty. The service was excellent and owner very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to go in the area. Lovely walks in gardens. Would definitely recommend it as an upmarket place to stay.

Not worth the money, a very expensive stay and the hotel needs lots of TLC. It is quite obvious who ever manages the Hotel is not very interested in it. Breakfast was disappointing, no normal bread only a microwave "bread basket"!!!

The history, the garden, the service, the food, local knowledge of staff, standard of the room are all outstanding. Lizzie the chef is exceptional.

An amazing lodge perched on top of the mountain with a stunning view over Tzaneen. The rooms are huge with a very confortable king sized bed and 4 kinds of pillows. There is also a fireplace in each room and it just adds that extra touch for a romantic getaway. Bathrooms have both a tub and a big shower and water pressure is great. But the best part is the food, prepared with only the freshest ingredients and a lot of loving care. There is also a pool but it's the gardens with little ponds and all kinds of trees and flowers that make this place special. It is situated about 1/2 way between Punda Maria (Kruger north gate) and JNB so perfect for a stopover before and /or after a safari

Very comfortable and well equipped bedroom. Food was excellent. Staff were so helpful and obliging. Beautiful, quiet location.

Peaceful, well prepared and classically modern clean rooms with huge bathroom. Nice hot shower and bedroom very spacious with lovely outlook to the beautiful gardens, pool and water features. Ideal to get to reading that book that you have wanted to get into! Staff were exceptionally helpful and professional. Dining was good with a set 4 course dinner and a elegant and hearty breakfast seated outside, overlooking the valley, trees and generally stunning scenery. Pre-dinner drinks around the fire was pleasant. Manager was highly informative and passionate about his menu and keen to ensure that everything went well. Roads are good up to the tar off-ramp and adequate, albeit in the rain a little muddy, to the lodge. Well positioned to explore Tzaneen and surrounds. Great wedding venue.

This is a classy place to stay on the way to Kruger National Park. They also serve a wonderful 4 course dinner as well as a fantastic breakfast.

We absolutely loved our time at Kings Walden Garden Manor. The gardens are stunning and you really feel the history of the setting. The room was very large and had an open fire. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent too. There was nothing at all negative about our stay - it exceeded our expectations in every way.

This is one of my favourIte places - it's perfect and serene for a couple getaway. I was disappointed by dinner though - the main was very oily and dinner was tasteless. He food was definitely better on my previous stay.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft, frisch renoviert, in herrlicher Lage in den Bergen von Tzaneen. Auf Wunsch bekamen wir Oryxfilet am Abend zum Dinner. Super Service!

Wonderful place with a magnificent view. Beautiful garden with interesting history. Very kind welcome . Excellent cuisine. Our stay was too short but we will come back and definitely recommend ! Thank you for your kind hospitality !

Un très bel endroit, chambre très confortable, service parfait, et un jardin extraordinaire (avec une chouette danse des petits singes sous mes fenêtres au petit matin).

Haben zwei schöne Tage hier verbracht. Das Highlight war das Essen mit einem hervorragenden Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Der etwas morbide Charme ist sicher nicht jedermanns Sache.
